"First impression was the store was bright and clean. We were not greeted but the young lady at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful once we approached her. We told her it was our first visit and she answered our questions and took our order. We ordered to eat in; the Dirty Macaroni with chicken and beans; the Pulled Pork Sandwich with a side of mac & cheese and corn bread. They offer bottled/canned soft drinks. They only have five high-top tables with backless stools in their small space for seating. Our food was delivered to our table by the same friendly young lady who took our order and she was very sweet and made sure we didn't need anything else before leaving us to our food. The Pulled Pork Sandwich was a soft white bun with a massive amount of pork, dripping with dark red sauce. The pork had a wonderful flavor, smokey and fragrant; and pleasantly moist. The sauce was almost unnoticeable with all that pork. The Mac & Cheese was just like mom used to make homemade. Not creamy cheesy but you can taste the velveeta and it's nice and soft and you can see the seasonings. Good comfort food! The corn bread was pretty typical corn bread. Not too sweet but just slightly sweet and it was moist. The Dirty Mac was a hit because it disappeared quickly. The chicken was tasty and moist. We would have liked to have options for sauces; I prefer a Carolina mustard sauce and my cohort prefers a sweet sauce. The meats we tried were very good, The prices were very fair for the portions and the quality. I will be back to try more options like the greens and the elote! Maybe banana pudding too if I don't eat too much next time!"
"Love this little black-owned BBQ joint in Holland! This is the Dirty Mac, and is only $8 and easily a meal (baked beans, mac & cheese, and pulled pork, bbq sauce). Their greens are delicious, and I'm also a big fan of their sweet pea pasta salad as a side. Ribs are good too. One of these days I'm going to try a smoked turkey leg when they have them! Great place, and big portions."
"I really was excited for some good barbecue from what seems like a father son family run place. Everything was just okay. I don't know I can recommend anything here. The sandwich was soggy and the fries had no salt. Best thing about this place was the napkins. Really disappointed."
"Meats were both fatty and stringy (flaws that seem hard to combine!). Sides were mostly extremely bland. Our group spent about $85 but threw about half the food away. Can't understand how their rating is so high; avoid!"
"Super good BBQ for the area! The atmosphere is fun and the owner is a riot. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area. The pulled pork XL Sammy is huge and filling"
