"Great team! You definitely feel the genuine care from the Receptionist,Nurses , Anesthesiologist Doctors and all involved in your care as your there when your body needs surgery! Rate it the Best around and appreciate it like I do compared to Childrens Hospital."
"Great hospital!! Great caring nurses!! Thank you"
"DO NOT HAVE YOUR BABY HERE!!! Apart from all the ridiculous fees they intentionally hide from you, the doctors are nothing short of sadistic and push for unnecessary treatments, medicines, and procedures. At the end of our visit THEY TRIED TO NOT LET US LEAVE!! Our baby was 100% healthy and they insisted on us staying for more days. Im assuming it was for more money because that seems to be the theme of their whole establishment, but i could sense some sort of control and power play with the doctors. These people are insane, stay far far away and i truly feel bad for the more easily manipulated new parents that are staying there. Sickening practices. Stay away."
"They do a great job taking care of their customers. After outpatient surgery, they made the discharge medication process extremely easy. Keep up your great works!"
"14 August 2021 President, CEO Christ Hospitals 2139 Auburn Ave Cincinnati, OH 4521 Dear CEO I have had twenty-nine surgeries in hospitals throughout Tampa, Florida, Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio, and this is the worse hospital treatment I have ever had!!! Why? Well there is absolutely zero patient caring! A patient is simply a number for a scheduled surgery. You do NOT have one intake nurse that does it all and builds the most important factor with hospitals and patients – trust and caring! You have an IV person; not sure if she is an RN or whatever, she NEVER introduced herself except for the fact she was the “IV person.” Then, when I told her that the IV was NOT going in my hand because it was really uncomfortable; nor above my hand because the veins collapse; especially on older patients. Her immediate comment was that the rules are in the hand only; which I then replied that that was not going to happen so she took a blood sample, with zero regard to how she did that or my discomfort, and left the room. A minus ten negative attitudes!!! Then, about twenty minutes later, the anesthesiologist came in and talked about the nerve block. All I discussed was that my last nerve block for the left shoulder was extremely painful because I was not sedated enough and my neck was swollen for three days. Well, his skin must be sensitive, as well, because he left stating “we’ll wait for the doctor then.” Now, from 5.43 am, when I undressed and was in my hospital gown until 7.25am when my surgeon arrived NO one gave one moment of care for my comfort / discomfort. No blanket; the one that hooks to the machine lay on my bed with no nurse or whoever caring enough to open it and hook it up. The TV could not be turned on because the “IV person” left the side rail down with the remote on the floor. There I sat on the bed, in my gown only, until my surgeon arrived and took control of the situation because HE CARES about his patients!!! Try that sometime; it can be rewarding! When my surgeon arrived, I asked if the surgery was still on because no one cared for me and it was about twenty minutes until surgery. Immediately, Rhonda, RN, put the IV in my left arm near my elbow; one stick, in perfect, no pain and an extremely polite RN; the rest of the staff simply could care less about patient comfort. I was so upset my blood pressure was over 200; Thank you all especially those NON-CARING CHRIST HOSPITAL RNs that did nothing for me! I have had the last three Wellington Orthopedic surgeries at Mercy Hospital Anderson and everyone had one thing that started my surgery right – they ALL CARED ABOUT THE PATIENTS! One RN does it all until you are ready to move to the nerve block area and OR; then another does the recovery. All caring and sensitive. Your recovery was “hurry up and leave” attitude. I had a should surgery shirt, Velcro openings designed for total shoulder replacement, and she didn’t understand it and certainly didn’t care of my discomfort moving my surgical arm that was less than two hours of healing. Yet, Mercy RN slipped it on very easily, no discomfort, and actually asked if it felt ok with the brace on. Care vs NON-CARING CHRIST HOSPITAL. Enough, you get that your Joint Spine Center lacks personality, patient caring and forced my surgeon to clean up YOUR staff’s uncaring mess! And, try an IV in your hand. I don’t know any older person who won’t tell you it hurts! Now, I’m sure there will be layers of bureaucracy and this will be far from your eyes; so, you can read on Google, and various social medias. I do NOT want another patient to suffer the most uncaring, cold, upsetting, disingenuous hospital surgery like I have just experienced. Maybe I’ll get a reply; maybe I’ll get the “we’re sorry” response; and just maybe someone’s eyes, at a level high enough, will see that Christ Hospital has a patient sensitivity and caring problem!"
