"I was treated absolutely horrible here. I had the worst upstairs neighbors who destroyed the property, flooded my apartment multiple times and made so much noise that I could never sleep or even enjoy watching television in any room. Management was completely dismissive about my complaints, after multiple visits to the main office talking to management about everything that was going on. At the very end of my living there, the new manager finally came up with a "solution", and that was to make me move to another unit which I refused because I was living there long before the neighbors moved in. I was not the problem and my apartment was in a great location on the bottom floor. I was so stressed and overwhelmed for every bit of two years. What a nightmare!"
"Nice place, granddaughter Just moved into upper a apartment. Loves it, loves being upstairs"
"This is my husband's and my first apartment together, and we have loved it so far! Granted, there are little quirks to the place (as with really any apartment complex), but we are very happy with our 2 bed 2 bath apartment. Positives: - The apartments aren't directly on the main road, so they are fairly quiet and feel safe. - Each apartment gets a porch/deck looking out at some trees, which has been lovely. This has been one of our favorite features. - The maintenance staff is awesome. We have enjoyed chatting with maintenance, and they have been really quick with tending to requests that we have had so far. - Other people have commented on the thin walls, but we must have very quiet neighbors because we don't hear anything from them (next door or downstairs). Our neighbors have been kind and respectful, and we haven't felt any breaches in privacy. Can Improve: - While there is a parking space for each tenant, there aren't many additional parking spaces for guests. This has not proven to be a huge issue for my husband and me because we aren't throwing any parties or anything, but this could be difficult if we were going to invite a few people over. - There is no in-unit laundry, which makes laundry a bit more of a hassle. It's not a huge issue, but it is always preferable to have a washer and dryer available in your apartment or in the same building. There is a laundry room on site that we use, but we get charged a few dollars per load, and the dryers don't always dry everything fully. - I don't know if its because of new management, but the price in apartments has already shifted quite a bit. We will likely move when our lease is up so we won't have to pay extra. - There really isn't much storage space in the apartment. There is one small utility closet and then two small closets in the master bedroom and guest bedroom. Overall, we have truly loved having this as our first home together!"
"The pool never opened, laundry is crazy expensive compared to most complexes around. To charge almost 800 a month (due to 25 dollar online fee) is insane. And they are raising it another 100 from what I was told by people leaving. Cant wait for my lease to be up! Not to mention no parking for visitors, normally none for you either. Go elsewhere!"
"Top reasons why you should reconsider living in an Ivy Green apartment: I’ve been living in an apartment here for 2 weeks and I’ve already run into numerous problems. In general, the apartment is really cheap. Yes, the rent is lower than most other apartment complexes in Richmond, IN, but that doesn’t make up for all the flaws of the apartment. A few things I do not like are #1 the walls are very thin and there is little to no insulation in the walls. I can hear everything that goes on from the music my neighbor is playing to he dogs barking across the street. #2 The water runs very slowly and takes a long time (more than 60 seconds) to heat up at every sink. #3 The floors look like hard wood but are just a covering with wood print placed on top of whatever is actually supporting the apartment. I feel bad for my downstairs neighbors because I am positive they can hear my EVERY step. #4 The 24/7 emergency line system doesn’t work the way they say it does. I’ve tried calling them a few times and I’ve always been given the voicemail. These are just some of the inconveniences that comes with living at Ivy Green."
