Holiday Inn Richmond, an IHG Hotel

"Traveling back from Pennsylvania to Illinois we needed a midway place to spend the night. Random chance and had a vacancy so we stayed. The place was under redesign construction but we were not disappointed in our stay. Not really noticed the construction, the room was clean, and we were just in time to get dinner. The wing platter was good and the bar service and selection was what weary travelers needed."

"Let me start by saying I own a sleep number bed. I remember a time when i couldn't wait to lay in a hotel bed because most were far better than my own bed. But now after owning a s.n. bed over a year, I can not for the life of me enjoy my sleep anywhere else. So for my lack of sleep, I don't think it's fair for me to say I don't like the beds... BUT the pillows, there's my real complaint. Get better pillows for sure or bring your own."

"I really had a great experience with the lady at the front desk Miss Turner. Helped me locate some friends that were staying there, she was very helping. If I didn't find them I would have missed a very important meeting."

"We attended an event including a catered meal. The meat and rolls were burnt and inetabel. Why the caterer thought it was OK to serve burnt food is just wrong. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't reimburse our group."

"Out of date rooms. This is a problem with most IHG buildings. They are in the process of establishing renovations for this location soon. I did find a bedbug in my room (#435) Although I do not believe the building is infested, I personally won’t be staying here again due to my bug experience, at least until they renovate every room. My brain just won’t allow it. I will say the staff was accommodating and I truly believe they felt upset about my experience. The location is also very quiet and nice to stay in with plenty of places to eat and things to do. All in all, not a bad deal. Take care of the bugs and modernize the rooms equipment and this place will be once again a place I’ll stay at. I’m a Gold elite member"
