"DO NOT TOUR I have never felt so condescended to by an agent before, I arrived 5 minutes early, was buzzed in, and asked to wait in the lobby. My roommate and I waited in the lobby for close to 10 minutes after our appt time, I walked up to the office and asked if the agent was running late. The agent responded "No, It's just me" and continued a conversation w a male coworker in the ajoining office. The place had a smell which I was willing to overlook; however, the agent made us feel completely unwelcome. I made my appt for the showing approx a week in advance and she never mentioned in our email correspondence that she had no 2bd units to show. I was told there are 41 floor plans available and when I asked for the 2bd floor plans (20) since I couldn't tour them we were told it's too much paper and there would be a fee. I kept silent and the entire walk and elevator ride back the agent spent telling me how pointless printing them out would be and said she thought the 'purpose of this tour' was to get a sense of the building and amenities. When the agent showed us the 1bd unit she didn't speak about the property but spent the time on her phone in the living area. We were not given any pricing information, a card, or floor plans and when sharing this with other places we toured they were appalled and apologized on their behalf. We very much got the sense that she did not want us there and wanted to get us out as soon as possible. We are younger so I felt that she assumed we couldn't afford the property and were wasting her time. We will not be returning or calling back, I felt so disrespected I teared up exiting the building. I spent too much time researching places especially on bus lines as I have a disability, and she couldn't give us 20 minutes of her time that she was being payed for."
"I don't usually take the time to post reviews, but this place managed to violate nearly every boundary that I have. I moved here in 2021 and I truly didn't expect much, yet the management still managed to disappoint me. I went nearly four months without hot water during a Toledo winter, and no one bothered to come and check what the problem was despite me reporting it multiple times. This wasn't fixed until I hired a lawyer and their monthly rent was in jeopardy. I let that go and decided to move elsewhere, all they had to do was return my deposit at this point. I made sure that everything in the apartment in great condition before I left. By the manager's own admission, there was no damage in the apartment. Somehow there was still a sizeable chunk deducted from my deposit. I called and asked if it was a mistake and I got confirmation that it was. The manager (Brian) told me that I should expect another check with the remainder of my money in a week. It has been nearly two months and I'm still waiting. Now when I call, I cannot seem to get a hold of the manager and I'm told to expect a call back with no results. I'm not going to tell you that this is some horrible hell on earth. However, if you can avoid this place and any property managed by Millenia you really should. I have many more reasons why you shouldn't live here but this was the straw that broke the camel's back for me."
"The new management has been vary attentive. They understood I was in a time crunch and helped expedite the whole process. The lobby is small but vary calming. The music playing through the air just gives you that vibe. I’ve been here a week and have already seen cleaning in the lobby and elevators twice. The moving our stuff in was kinda hard due to the small garage access but we made it work. We messaged the office with a couple things we noticed were wrong. And they had someone up here the day we moved in and fixed everything. Halls are vary quiet never hear anyone else in the building."
"The Historic Hillcrest is a beautiful apartment building COMPLETELY RUINED by those who manage it- specifically the office manager, Melissa. The lobby and hallways are poorly kept. One will often find himself greeted by the piercing odor of dog feces when he enters the lobby. It absolutely REEKS, unless a new tenant is coming for a tour that day. The staff promises to be in from 9:00-6:00, but this was often not the case. I got home from work around 5:45 and rarely saw anybody in the office to assist me. Sometimes I would come home at lunch to talk and they wouldn't be their either! They put up a lunch sign that covers a large portion of the afternoon. We, at apartment 905, were directly wronged on many occasions. 1. Our apartment was regularly entered without permission for the first 8 months we lived there. 2. We had roughly 3 months without heat or air. we were absolutely frozen on the top floor when winter hit. 3. We were locked out of our roof patio which was promised to us at the time of the lease. There was no warning. The locks were changed and we were unable to retrieve our properties, nor were they returned to us. 4. The janitorial staff came into our apartment to fix a leak in our sink, spilled gunky water all over our carpet and forced us to finish out our stay with a huge and disgusting stain. 5. The manager at the Hillcrest attempted to charge us rent for the month of September when our lease ended in August. We were out by August 31st and attempted to return our keys to the staff on two occasions. Since the office staff is NEVER IN THE OFFICE, they were unreachable. They are now trying to charge us over $900 because there was a key not in their possession. I would only recommend staying here if the management changed."
"The apartments are very nice. The neighbors are all super friendly. On site laundry with a card system so I don't have to have a billion quarters. Dog friendly. Management is in a constant influx so it's a bit unknown how it's going to be in a year but overall nice."
