"Open door rentals sent a maintenance guy over to fix a leak in our sink. His name was Mike and he was very friendly. Not only did he fix our sink but he also changed the batteries in our carbon monoxide detector that was high up and could not be reached easily. AND he fixed our screen door that had been broken for quite some time. Very thankful to Mike and his consideration to fix our sink and other issues that he didn’t have too! Thanks Mike!!"
"Open door review Let me just start by saying PLEASE.. PLEASE… PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK/RESEARCH before choosing this company to do ANY kind of business with them. I would NOT recommend doing ANY type of ties with Open Door Rental whether that be Renting or contacting business with them. A very unprofessional, dishonest, unethical business being ran. We as renters had the worst experience with them, from being charged for things suddenly. Like water, but would never show us a water bill that we asked for every month, our water bill would get up to the cost of an electric bill; (WOW right?) not to mention we had NO water pressure so it seemed even more wild for it to be that high. Common maintenance fees (could never get a straight answer on what it was we were being charged for) multiple trash fees, maintenance fees for just coming in to tell us something needs fixed (which we already knew beforehand because we put the maintenance request in) but they needed a professional to fix it. It got to the point they where just sending over their “maintenance guys” just so they could charge us to walk through our door and say they showed up to “fix” whatever it was at that time but was never fixed. However, I didn’t know you could charge renters to replace a toilet seat or fix a broken door or clean a drain out or a toilet flapper; that’s only a few things. We had a maintenance request in to fix a couple windows, (this request was put in a few times, verbally and electronically because they just doc it has “completed”) but eventually had a professional come out and he reported to us that the windows would need replaced and they he would report that to the office, well after a few days of not hearing anything we had to contact them again about it. They said to us, they only way they were going to be “fixed” was that they could just board them up so could just be permanently closed. Another issue we contacted them about was several times but never once got a reply on it was MOLD in the bathrooms and windows from all the moisture. Then we had our basement flood, we had water flooding through our electrical box, we had so much water it was shin high. We tried to contact them (noticed early morning before work) nobody would answer or return calls until early afternoon (yes there was suppose to be an after hour emergency line) not one time did they offer to come help get water out of our basement, just kept telling us, “they are doing what they can” never offered us nothing as far even equipment to get water out. We sucked water out for 3 days! Mind you, we lived in a townhome so our whole building was flooded in the basements. Yes we would unfortunately have to question about all of the things but never got a response. We suddenly got an email that we couldn’t renew our lease and when we questioned “why or a reason” for it they wouldn’t respond, and when they finally did, all we got was “because we can”. So they eventually start the move out process with 3 pages of cleaning duties, which we did. We had to have the carpets professionally cleaned for them to be just ripping it up to lay all hard floors throughout. Also, 7 days before our move-out date approached our stove/oven suddenly about blew up. We immediately contacted them for a work order and we never heard back until the day before our move out date in a text message from Open Door, asking if we can plug a toaster into the “stove outlet” to check if it works. We had to simply tell them, you can’t do that. Unfortunately this isn’t everything we had to deal with. DO NOT EXPECT A DEPOSIT BACK! They will find a reason to charge you for something."
"I'm having a great experience renting through Open Door. Not only did the leasing process go smoothly but they have met all of their commitments in regards to our tight schedule and time frame. We had a few minor maintenance issues and they got fixed quickly."
"Just wanted to stop & show my appreciation to the staff at Open Door. Who are always prompt & courteous with assisting us. Jessica & Nicole are great in the clutch as always & can't forget Jeremy in maintenance. I appreciate what you guys do!"
"I have been a renter (twice) with Open Door AND have used Tammie as a buyer and seller on the Real Estate side. She is soooo easy to work with. She helped me make so many decisions that I wasn’t even aware of during the processes. The leasing agents, especially Jessica at the Auburn office, are great to work with as well!"
