"What a wonderful shop! The owner was super nice and friendly. We just moved to Dayton and took the time to tell me about all the festivals in the area. So sweet! Everything was fun to look at: farmhouse decor, lovely smelling candles, crafts, and vintage/antiques. I loved walking around treasure hunting. There is a little bit of everything! I found a teacup, two saucers, and a thimble I had to have, all very reasonably priced. I will definitely come back, and bring friends!"

"I almost never shop in Fairborn and probably wouldn't have this time if I hadn't come across a table and stool I liked on Marketplace. I made arrangements with the owner to stop by and purchase both, but the stool had already been sold (yet the ad not deleted). My first response was that I wouldn't buy bother buying the other item either, but the next day changed my mind and made plans to visit. Truthfully, I was not that thrilled with the smoking stand I went to get, but since it was only $15 I decided to purchase it anyway as it might make a nice winter restoration project. More surprising was the fact that I found another stool that I liked even better but that she hadn't mentioned as an alternative. Because I like to support local/small businesses with reviews and pictures, with her permission, I spent more time wandering both levels and taking pictures than actively shopping. I was the only shopper in the store during my entire visit, yet the owner did not follow after me chatting as some bored shopkeepers have a tendency to do. Rather, I was given full reign to wander independently and leisurely. By the end of my visit I'd picked up some other odds and ends. Although she was not willing to negotiate lower, her prices were fair enough that I didn't remove anything from my group of items. Overall, the store impressed me as more of a country/craft themed shop than a vintage/antique store. Since country crafts are not my personal taste, it's probably not a place I'll readily return. However, she did state that the store will return to a predominantly vintage/antique shop once the holidays pass so time will tell. Overall, I had a good experience but I can't say that it's likely to become one of my regular destination shopping spots. However, that doesn't mean that you won'tn make it yours!
