"I paid for a pack of cigarettes (Newports) and because I was using debit I was charged an extra $5.00 for using debit. I stayed and waited for the whole refund"
"Wasup lucky dollar friends exceptional service last five years !!!!"
"Small grocery store specialized in frozen instant meals, ice cream, snacks, cakes, soups, cereals, staples, beverages, beer, cigarettes, and lottery."
"Location sold me a defective product. When I went back 10 mins later employee treated me like dirt and told me "you're lucky I'm even entertaining this we don't do returns" I literally just bought it and it doesn't work. Needless to say I will not be back. Beware the owners a good guy. His employer garbage."
"I lived at the Historic Hillcrest apts when it was a low crime and would frequently walk to Lucky Dollars to cash my check and pick up junk food They've got your main carry-out snacks, cola, energy drinks, beer, cheap wine, cigarettes, etc. I highly recommend the large rice Krispy treats at the counter if they're still available. The cashiers can appear a bit testy or indifferent but It depends on the person and tbh I can't blame them. Perhaps it's a requirement to retain that demeanor, especially in the inner city of Ohio's “armpit” Granted, 16th and Madison used to be "OK" we had a sense of community, and dare I say.. it was rather peaceful in the early 2000s. *sigh* From 2012 to the present day avoid walking alone unless it's daytime and you're desperate for an overpriced 2-liter of Pepsi-Cola ;) The homeless convene outside the door or the local pharmacy "supply" is posted up whenever. The workers always did an adequate job of keeping the riff-raff outside while customers are shopping. One day I went in there to cash a larger check not understanding how dangerous the area was, the guy behind the counter made sure I knew to put the money away and they would always count it out out of people's sight. Shout-out to Lucky Dollar for looking out for their customers back in the day till now."
