"The staff was the friendliest staff I’ve ever met a Steak ‘n Shake. The restaurant was clean and the food was excellent. This visit changed my opinion of the restaurant chain. We did have an issue where something was forgotten from our burger, and they corrected it with a smile and an apology. Excellent customer service. The value of food was also excellent. We fed four people for five dollars a piece."

"Here is the problem...this is a vintage style restaurant where u have to order your own food on a screen, there are NO servers, AND, you are asked by the screen you are ordering on to TIP the ghost waiter. Oh....u get to clean up your own table. All this and more and you get to pay, them! The shake was great tho. Also, needed to get an apron and cleaning supplies."

"This is my second time at steak and shake . Honestly don't remember much about the first time except that we liked it. That was at least 4 years ago. I ordered the food on the app for the 6 of us. The app told us 16-21 minutes we maybe took 10 minutes at most and 5 minutes once we were there. I constantly kept looking to see if my order was ready. I asked somebody and they didn't say if it was ready or not. Then they come out with two bags. Everything was very cold. The milkshakes were still very good and not melty. 3 out of the 4 burgers were wrong. I brought them to the counter and they remade the 3 burgers and we pretty nice about it and made them pretty fast. I really like a lot about this place. The fries if hot would have been super awesome. The burger was still great cold, but would have been better hot. My biggest complaint besides the food was cold is that the chicken finger 3 pc meals were so tiny. I wish I had taken a picture . To give some size all three together wouldn't even equal more than half of one pizza place chicken finger. No way in any world was this worth 7+ dollars. The kids liked the taste. But really wasn't worth it. With 4 meals we got the milkshake for an extra 2 something. That was Definitely worth it. The milkshakes were a good size. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would just add that they read each item and pay closer attention to what type of burger and what we request to be on it or not on it."

"We were the only people there at dinner time, and more than half the tables were dirty. You have to order at a computer kiosk and they print a receipt, which is why we were surprised when two out of our five meals were incorrect (no bacon when we paid the extra $2, cheese on all burgers when one was ordered without, no milkshake when we upgraded from the regular drink, forgot the extra fry dips we bought too). The food itself wasn’t bad, but the drink area was super sticky and overall the restaurant lacked cleanliness- again we were the only customers and the drive thru was completely empty as well. There are a bunch of places to eat on this street so we wouldn’t come back."
