"First time we have been here but it won't be our last! We picked this place during burger week and sure glad we did. Food, service, atmosphere were all excellent. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We sat at the bar as all of the indoor tables were taken and it was too toasty to sit outside. Give this place a try if you haven't already."

"This place is a super nice gem. We lived here quite awhile before trying it and now we will definitely be going regularly. Went on a Saturday for lunch. Was raining so we couldn't sit outside - looking forward to doing that soon, as the patio looks super welcoming. The server told me I couldn't order cocktails before 2pm. But then she came back and said that was only on Sundays. I ordered a bourbon cocktail and it was delish! I tried the watermelon colada afterwards, and while it might be a fun summer drink, it tasted like liquid jolly rancher to me, so not my thing. All of our food was excellent. I ordered the truffle burger, but as a chicken sandwich, without cheese/dairy free. My meal did come out with cheese, but they promptly returned it and brought me a new one in a bit. Small hiccup, but service was still great. My kid loved their kids cheese pizza (made without sauce for her). Hubby got the spicy Italian grinder and loved it."

"Update (11-7-22): We fell in love with this place the first time we visited but we've been back several times and brought friends and family members and I'm sad to say the consistency of the food has suffered since our first trips here. Don't get me wrong, when they nail it, they nail it and we all smile, but they been missing the head of the nail more times than not lately so I have to keep it real and drop my 5 rating to a 3. I KNOW how difficult it is to run a restaurant, keep good quality employees, and be consistent meal after meal so I'm willing to try them again in hopes that they return to the Squirrel we first fell in love with. Here's hoping! Passed this place up on my first glance because I figured it was just another bar with bar food but I was wrong. The decor is awesome and we sat outside to eat our meal which is always a plus for us. We ordered the Rumpke Mountain Nachos w/ ground beef and it was delicious and enough for four hungry people! I ordered the fish tacos and I’d eat them again and again. Just enough breading to fry them and a good mix of slaw and dressing to top off the fish. My wife had a Caesar salad which she claimed was very good along with some fried shrimp which were tender and sweet inside. I shared a Heavenly BBQ Burger which was slightly over cooked per my request but tender and tasty just the same, and a Spicy Italian Grinder with a side of Mac & Cheese. I was thinking I was going to be disappointed with the grinder but the meat was good and well portioned for the bun. A slightly softer bun would have made the sandwich perfect! The Mac & cheese was delicious and much better than the mediocre stuff you get at so many places these days. The onion rings were equally good. We’ll definitely be back again and so should you!"
