"As a healthcare professional, I have very high standards when it comes to evaluating other healthcare professionals, however I can not say enough good things about this doctor and his staff.Dr Makunda and his staff are wonderful. Dr Makunda is professional, knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. The NPs in his office are also professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The office often saves same day appointments with an NP for acute illnesses/emergencies and can do virtual appts when needed. I have done several when I was too ill to get there. The medical assistant and the office staff are exceptional, as well. I have been a patient there for almost 5 years and am unwilling to change physicians even though he is not on my new insurance for office visits. The office does provide a cash discount for self pay, which actually ended up being less expensive than my insurance copay. Dr. Makunda has privileges at several local hospitals and admits and follows his patients. There is continuity of care from admit (or pre-admit) through office follow up after discharge. If you are looking for a new physician, I cannot recommend this doctor and staff high enough."
