"Telephone assistant not helpful with acquiring needed documentation to start treatment. She informed me that she could not send me a blank form to provide consent because of health care laws. I informed her that it is blank and she then proceeded to tell me that she does not think that I was a good fit to receive therapy there."
"Please keep in mind this review is based off an older experience and might not necessarily reflect the current treatment this place offers but I would be reticent to not eventually share the details of the place that caused me a great deal of trauma and pain in the time afterward. I tried to recieve treatment here when I was experiencing a lot of painful moments in my life: depression, being bullied in college, experiencing suicidal thoughts, feelings of worthlessness. I just wanted a general therapist to speak to who would help me hate myself less and my therapist did anything but. During our initial session, my therapist seemed cold but professional, which was okay. However the minute I shared that I was not religious, he stopped treating me and started getting into a HEATED religious debate, one I desperately wanted to avoid. He tried to cite Charles Darwin, bringing up references in the Bible, and then while I was in tears, on his couch, he showed a general lack of self awareness while pushing his personal agenda. I stayed silent. The discussion was no longer about my treatment; it was about how incorrect and illogical I was for being so wrong. He preached for 20 minutes. The only time we finally did bring the conversation back to my treatment, was shown by his disgusting level of interest in discussing my experiences with childhood molestation. He told me I was not able to be helped without God. I spent so much time agonizing over those words in the months afterward. When he tried to book a follow up, I gratiously and inaccurately told him that I would seek treatment elsewhere that could also treat me with medication, which we had both formerly agreed that I needed but couldn't recieve there. Truth is, we were incompatible and his method of treatment violates so many benefits of seeking treatment with people that care. If you are conservative and religious, this practice made be a great match for you. But if you care about receiving proper care under the guidance of a licensed medical professional, go elsewhere. I just feel like I have to warn people."
"They have great therapists. Experienced, diverse, conservative, christian, non-denominational, family, individual- you name it. The experience, small but specialized, amazing by addressing any age group, they don't jump to medications, by weighing all options. Different the than large practices. Small and intimate. Dr. Fouch is amazing."
"Called on the phone to ask about seeing Doug Reed. Speaking to the receptionist/intake person who answered the phone was one of the most bizarre frustrating conversations I've ever had. I was polite and friendly the whole time, but she wouldn't tell me much of anything, just said multiple times it doesn't sound like she can help me, based on what I have no idea... I asked to speak to someone else and was told I cannot, then asked her name and she literally refused to tell me her name! I see here other reviewers apparently had similar experiences, so I'm amazed she still works there. I think she needs psychological therapy more than many of their patients probably do!"
"I wouldn’t give them one star. We went in to just gather information on the process and we were treat like we were trash. They would not give us any information. Stated they would only talk to an attorney. They wouldn’t even shake hands upon introduction. Again another sign of elitism. Do not give this practice any of your money!!"
