"Rooms and overall condition of the hotel is not as good as expected from the brand. The hotel is older and it shows. It does look like they’re starting to renovate, as the roof was being replaced last week and into the next week. Hopefully there are additional updates planned for this property. Stay at one of the other Marriott hotels in the area"

"Rooms were bigger than expected and the shower was very refreshing. The couch in the room was also pretty comfortable. It was located right off the interstate so it was easy to get to for sure. They also had a nice little sundries section that wasn't overly pricey and could be added to your room."

"As a devoted Marriott Bonvoy member, I've frequently chosen the Courtyard by Marriott Dayton North for my stays, relying on brand trust and previous experiences with other Marriott establishments. Yet, my recent visits to this particular hotel have been underwhelming, to say the least. First and foremost, the inability of the hotel to honor room preferences is both puzzling and frustrating. Despite my loyalty status, and having booked a king room on multiple occasions, I was taken aback to find my preference routinely sidelined. On arrival, I was often informed that my king room had been given away, and I was reallocated to a double bed room. Not only does this dismiss the extra cost associated with booking a king room, but it also indicates a lack of commitment to guaranteeing customer satisfaction. Adding to the dismay, the customer service was mediocre at best. Instead of providing solutions or compensations for the room issues, there was a palpable sense of indifference. This was further exacerbated by the dated interiors of the rooms, which seem in desperate need of a refresh. The hotel also operates with a single elevator, which, during peak times, can become quite a bottleneck. However, it's not all gloom and doom. One of the redeeming features of this establishment is its above-average hotel gym, a delightful surprise for those keen on maintaining their fitness routines while traveling. Moreover, the hotel's location is commendable. Its walkability to several nearby restaurants means one doesn't have to venture far for a good meal. Additionally, its close proximity to Dayton Airport makes it a convenient choice for travelers in transit. In summation, while the Courtyard by Marriott Dayton North has its merits in terms of amenities and location, it disappointingly falls short in delivering on its promises, especially to loyal customers. I hope the management takes this feedback to heart and instills changes that truly reflect the standards one expects from the Marriott brand."

"I am so grateful that the night manager (I think she was the night manager) went above and beyond at 12:30am to get me a room; she was great and I'm so glad she helped me out. That said, the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired; it seemed like the housekeeping staff half-heartedly tried to clean the room, but gave up half-way and ended up watching television instead. The rooms are also very dated, and the overall value isn't great either- the breakfast is paid instead of free, and the amenities are just average. I'm still giving 4 stars because of the quality of service I initially received, though."
