Super 8 by Wyndham Miamisburg Dayton S Area OH

"I was very skeptical on booking a room here based on the reviews but I did not have a terrible experience. Check in was great. There is a $15 fee per pet with a $50 refundable deposit. Everything went smooth and the woman at the counter was very nice. This is an old building. Don’t expect everything to be perfect. The carpet is old. You are going to smell a little pee and pet dander. If this bothers you don’t book a pet friendly hotel. They are not going to spend the money to replace carpet when it’s going to get peed on and smell the same as it did within a month. Doesn’t make any sense. I will say the repairs they did to the bathroom ceiling was definitely shotty work. It did smell a little musky just in the bathroom but I pretty much expect that anywhere. Hotels are going to deal with water damage and most people won’t do a great job of drying out the moisture before making repairs. Aside from these minor gripes everything was clean. I didn’t see any bugs and everything in the room worked just fine. If you have concerns just ask for room 117 when you book. See photos attached."

"Check in and out both were very smooth. My room was well maintained, and everything was in working order. The only complaint I had was breakfast could be better but the whole place was much nicer than some other motels and hotels I’ve stayed at in the area. All together it was a nice stay."

"We consist of 2 adults and 1 child. Was told at check-in in scolding voice, since I didn't mention there was a child I should be charged! KIDS STAY FREE! Trash behind bedstead. Wish I could send pictures. Opened shower curtain to find a used washcloth. DISCUSTING!!! and toilet seat was cracked almost in two. Breakfast was terrible!!! Coffee was empty, no orange juice, rotten bananas, no yogurt and waffles weren't fully cooked. Only thing would have been a slice of bread or cold cereal. Never staying here again"

"I am surprised that this hotel is part of Wyndham. I would not recommend this hotel. The area it's in looked sketchy and was not well lit. As soon as we walked in you can tell the hotel is old and needs some improvements. The room was "clean" but the rug was extremely stained and the room had a slight smell when we walked in. The air conditioner worked and the bed was ok but the bathroom had tiles falling off and was in need of some updating. The breakfast was ok it had coffee, cereal and fruit."

"Our stay this weekend was good, the price of the rooms is about right given this is an older hotel. The room was dirty including the need to have one bed completely stripped and new/fresh bedding (sheets, mattress cover, blanket) was added. I looked thoroughly for roaches (given other reports) and bed bugs but did not find any. I don't understand why hotels don't completely move furniture and sweep behind fridges and other furniture regularly because crumbs are just begging to attract pests. I found the staff friendly and the hotel was quiet on the night we stayed there."
