"I had an outpatient procedure done at Kettering and I had to be put under for it. The anesthesiologist in the tiny, prison cell type procedure room said he would be putting me under but another anesthesiologist (the senior anesthesiologist?) would be in to ask me a few questions. This "other" anesthesiologist never showed up and in short order they put me under. Fast forward two months and I get a bill for TWO anesthesiologists for the procedure. Over $200 apiece. Called their office and was basically told tough luck, that insurance required two anesthesiologists be on the procedure and that even though only one was involved, I was responsible for the bill. The entire Kettering Hospital experience felt rushed and second rate and this mess was just icing on the cake. Go to a different provider is my advice, I know I will."
"WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF POSSIBLE. I am being charged for my anesthesia after a normal delivery in November. Makes sense except... I was only sent ONE bill which notified me this was the FINAL ATTEMPT and would be sent to collections. When I called I was informed I didn't owe $450 which is what MY BILL was for, I owe $1100!!! No explanation!! I explained i would not be paying anything (especially since I've already paid over $800 to the hospital for my anesthesia) until I saw a detailed itemized bill which explained where the magical $650 came from. I just received my "itemized bill" today. It has LESS INFORMATION than the first bill I received but has the extra $650 added to the total."
"If I could give zero stars, I would. The billing is an absolute disaster. Two separate times this company has sent my account to a debt collector when the account was paid in full. I then had to get it cleared up with the collection company. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!!"
"Terrible company. Has repeatedly sent wrong information to insurance, does not deal with billing in house and uses a 3rd party provider named MyDocBill. Kettering Anesthesia Associates Inc is also not connected to Kettering hospital at all but is contracted out by Kettering Hospital. If you are able, go anywhere else!"
