"ALWAYS confirm the cost before walking in the door of Premier Health Miami Valley Hospital, Beavercreek. I had a scan which cost FIFTEEN times what it cost with Kettering. When I got the bill and asked if there was any flexibility, Melissa W told me: "We do not do settlements at Premier. This is the balance the insurance left as your responsibility. It is the patient responsibility to know their benefits and to call the insurance company before having a procedure or test at the hospital facility." Good advice I guess, but rather unfriendly, bordering on hostile. The best advice is to go anywhere but Premier Health."
"I came in in September for an ultrasound. I checked my my chart prior to coming on my bill was over $1000. I called to cancel due to not being able to afford that. The person on the phone said that would my service would only be $120 and that my chart must have had an error. I came in spoke with billing and they said yeah it was an error and that the only bill I would be receiving today is the $120 and that I would not have to pay any additional service for what I was having done today. I then paid the $120 that was due. Then went back for my ultrasound. I then received a bill for $50 fr the radiolighist that read the results a month later called them obviously upset because I was told I would have no additional payment for the service. They said I will pass your message on to Jeff the patient advocate. 1 month later he still didn't call back. I called again today to see why I wasn't called back. They gave me an excuse on how there was an error in there system and that Jeff would call back. He then called me back. Offered no solution. Essentially laughed at me while I cried and told me they can do anything and that I was responsible for the bill even know I was lied to multiple times. Said multiple times it's common knowledge that you will have to pay extra and for a radiologist to read your results and that I just should have known. He then called who billed me and asked if they could do anything. They said no. Jeff called me back to tell me that. And said I couldn't speak to a Manger because they were all occupied. And that I would just have to continue to wait. Don't waste your time going to this place. Get your tests done elsewhere where they don't lie to you and are upfront about billing."
