"This is a very low class establishment in all respects and nothing like its European counterparts. First off, the store itself is in poor condition and ill kept. Cabinets are dinged, the floors are grimy and display glass dirty. Employees use the tables for their personal items and papers which leaves no space for paying customers - forget visitors, to sit and/or experience the items they are buying. Staff are not well spoken, nor well dressed, nor trained in how to address clientele than can actually afford to shop here. They are more concerned with directing their attention to their phones. Myself aside, I was watching how they ignored what were clearly high worth clients who were in search of higher priced items and SAID. SO. I went in needing a rollerball replacement and also wanting to purchase a fountain pen. Staff had no knowledge of their offerings and could not be bothered, let alone let me test any tips. As for the rollerball, they were out of most inks. I emailed their corporate division with my comments and received the usual canned response stating that an area representative would follow up. Not surprising, no one ever did. Mont Blanc is seriously over-rated and nothing more than a cheap plastic pen at a grossly inflated price and along with all of its cheaply and ill constructed leather goods. Gone are the days when the offerings were actually nice, the stores elegant and the employees classy and able to offer their clients a highly personalized service. I say all this not out of entitlement, but rather out shock. Seriously, save your money and spend it on custom work. There are plenty of "artists" that will appreciate your business and offer truly quality products. If negative 5 stars was an option, Mont Blanc Westshore would be it!"
"Went in to find belt and didn’t think for the brand they have a good sale person or customer service they re 4 staff and too busy talking the one who came to me she absolutely have no knowledge about the products and when I make decision to purchased I asked her to check for new one back stock she said they don’t have it and the only 2 they have is on display I said it s ok I ll check online then she TOLD me if I order online I have to pay for shipping ……… I was like whatttttttt !! Lady you don’t even know what r u talking about. I end up bought from coach and their service much better and feel lots more welcome to shop there.i won’t go back there for sure."
"I am not traditionally a reviewer. My experience with their customer service was appalling after the sale. The first time I used the pen, it happened to fall off my counter and cracked. I have owned 7 of these pens. The one I bought, the one I use every day and 5 that have been stolen. In 20 years of owning them, I have never had one crack from a simple fall. My jewlery repair declined the warranty, Montblanc online suggested I call the store. I spoke with a salesperson on the phone and and asked for help. I was told no. I asked for an exchange, since apparently, this style of pen is not going to work for me, again no. This is a company that sells pens for 500.00 and more. I would expect that there would be much better customer service. I understand the pen fell and that is not normally covered. But not to exchange it, come on. I am out 575.00 for the pen and 200 for the repair. I now own a pen that I have to put in bubble wrap to make sure it is safe to use. I guess this will be my last Montblanc."
"Went in to buy a pen and didn’t have the high end service I would have expected from such a reputable brand. The sales person kept showing me products I was not interested in despite me telling them exactly what I wanted. Had a very used car lot vibe. They also couldn’t process a simple tax exemption after promising me they could before I bought. For a high end boutique selling pens costing upwards of $10,000, you’d think the employees would be versed in their wares. The employee seemed confused about the 3 different types of pen tips offered, which then confused me. I simply wanted to try the different pens to make sure I knew what I was getting, but it seemed like a huge inconvenience for them to show me the different options. The whole experience was awkward and I almost walked out…but I did want to buy a gift for a good friend who loves Mont Blanc. The pen I finally picked, they at first claimed was out of stock but then after I said I’ll try coming back another day, magically they found it at some online portal called YNAP. Seemed a bit shady. Are they selling grey market product? I also mentioned at checkout that our company was tax exempt. I was told “we can’t handle tax exemptions here now, you’ll have to buy first then come to the store and we can set you up with a tax exemption after you receive your product.” Now I’ve set our companies up with hundreds of Tax exemption vendors and this is the first time I ever heard that line. I regret agreeing to the purchase, for a few days later, I received an email from the rep saying that they were now unable to honor our exemption. I emailed back saying I didn’t think it was their choice but the tax law. (They also had the form when I was in store buying the pen, happily taking my money. Why am I finding this out days later?) They emailed back again saying they would not accept it. I asked them to cancel my order…BUT I never heard back from them! For a brand that charges this much they should invest better in their service and attention to customer interaction. 2 star experience. Trying to figure out how to get my money back (now sent a second email and still no response)… won’t be doing business with them again."
"Highly recommend!!! I can’t thank the staff enough for helping me bring my beautiful pen back to life. The repairs they made in a timely manner make my 30 year old pen look new. CeCe was fantastic to work with! Great customer service."
