"Unfortunately, We Care Plumbing missed the mark on my service call. We had a leak from inside our wall under our kitchen sink. Upon finding the leak and identifying the cause, we were informed that an entire house repipe would be needed due to the presence of PEX piping with faulty fittings. Note: our home is less than two years old and this repipe that they recommended was around $8000. I decided we needed to think about taking on a project of this expense, and I later received a call from the plumbing team manager again recommending the repipe and discussing a 2018 lawsuit that PEX piping was involved in (I will get back to this later). I had 3 other plumbers/plumbing companies consult and inspect this apparent bad PEX piping. A retired master plumber, Aggressive Plumbing from Pensacola, and 3 Goats Plumbing from Holt. ALL of the opinions from these plumbers and companies were the same. Particularly 3 Goats Plumbing. I was informed then that the type of PEX that was in our home was Rehau PEX and that it is one of the best brands of PEX available and rarely has any issues. Rehau was also never involved in any of the previous PEX lawsuits. I was then informed that the plumbers that completed the construction of our house initially may have just used spare fittings that were not supposed to be used (Rehau brand polymer fittings or brass fittings are recommended) but the pipe itself was just fine. 15 minutes and $200 later our fittings were swapped out and we have not had any issues since. I was then told that even in the event we started to have issues in other areas of our house a repipe was still not recommended just the swapping of the fittings/couplings. Which in Santa Rosa County are all found above a concrete slab foundation to code. Meaning they can be all be accessed and swapped from a simple cut into the drywall where the fitting would be located. NOT AN ENTIRE REPIPE. So, I’m out $500 for a service call from We Care Plumbing, but that is a whole hell of a lot better than $8000 and knowing I’ve been scammed for a repipe I didn’t need. Take your money elsewhere folks. These guys are just shotty salesman, and they’re pretty bad at the selling part."
