Congo Breeze Vacation Rental

"What a beautiful, luxurious home where you can enjoy special time together with family! Our stay was our Christmas gift to our children and we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend it all together! The owners make it so convenient by stocking the entire house with the daily necessities, so you don't have to worry about anything. From shampoo, laundry detergent, kitchen spices, coffee to plenty of bath towels and beach towels! They have also made sure to include something fun for everyone! Along with a ping pong table and pool table they had card games, puzzles, games for children and adults, as well as, pool toys for children and adults. Due to cooler and cloudier weather than we would have liked, the hot tub was a favorite amongst us all. We had an issue with the hot tub the first night we were there. We called Mike Bartels (the owner) and he called us back within 10 minutes. While on the phone, he asked my husband to look for different things that may be causing the issue, and together they figured out the problem. Mike and his wife were also kind enough (after I reached out to them) to give us some alternate places for a wedding proposal that our son was planning. With the original proposal plan on the beach and the forecast for intended day and time was rain and 30-40 mile per hour wind, the beach was obviously not going to be the best place with 2000 rose pedals included in the proposal master plan!! Their kindness went over and above our rental agreement! This house met ALL our expectations and more!! Thank you Bartels family for sharing your lovely home with us!!"

"We had a wonderful time at Congo Breeze. The weather was perfect and the house with all the amenities made it one of the best family vacations ever. We typically have trouble locating a house with three king size beds, along with additional beds for our three granddaughters. Congo Breeze met our needs perfectly. The king and bunk beds and bedding were very comfortable, and we had more than enough room for everyone. The beautiful pool and hot tub, with all the floats, pool toys, and lounge chairs made the days enjoyable along with the patio furniture giving us the opportunity to dine together in a leisurely fashion. The amenities: bikes, kayak, ping pong table, corn hole, fishing poles, cards, games, were great for keeping everyone engaged and enjoying each other’s company. The beach chairs, towels and sand toys were a great addition for taking with us to Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island. The Bartels thought of and provided everything to help make our stay worry-free. Basic items such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner, bath and beach towels and hairdryers. The kitchen was fully stocked with soaps, trash bags, foil and Ziplock bags. Another bonus at Congo Breeze was that we didn’t pay an additional fee for electricity or heating the pool and we booked direct, so we saved on booking charges. "We stayed here for a few days and had such a wonderful time. The home was extremely clean and comfortable with amazing mattresses and pillows. The pool area was relaxing with comfortable chairs, an outdoor table option, and even some fun pool toys. There were outside game activities as well. We would love to go back and plan to do so! There also are plenty of restaurant and beach choices nearby. The hosts left a binder of fun options to try in the area, and they went out of their way to make sure everything went well for our stay. We are so thankful we chose this home to stay in for our few days in Florida!"

"The house had more than enough room for us and we were never bored because there is no way you could be bored at Congo Breeze. We biked, kayaked, swam, played pool, ping pong, corn hole, cards, fished, and more. This was the first time that we went on vacation and didn't have to pack much besides clothes. Our daughter has Type 1 Diabetes and Eosinophilic Esophagitis and when we reached out to Mike and Patti, they had a food scale, blowdryers, beach towels, and more. We did have a couple of questions while we were there and a text to the Bartels was returned by a very quick text reply and answer. For anyone who is thinking of finding a place to stay for their family or multiple families, we highly recommend Congo Breeze!"

"We stayed here last week end of September to beginning of October 2023. We absolutely loved this house, we wished we could take it home with us. It was perfect for our group of adults here for a wedding and vacation. The house and pool are even nicer than in the pictures. It has everything you could want. Everything is well spaced out, plenty of room, very clean, comfortable beds and furniture and beautifully decorated. Loved the tray ceilings and lighting inside and outside. The pool table inside got a lot of use , such a great set up inside and outside. The air conditioning works great and there is ceiling fans everywhere. The kitchen had everything we needed and many extras you don't always find in other rentals. There is plenty of towels and paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, ziplocs, plastic wrap, spices, etc. The pool, hot tub, patio, Lanai and outdoor furniture were beautiful and all overlooking the water and dock. We spent much of our time out there. Very relaxing and beautiful atmosphere. Loving every minute of it. We never wanted to leave. There is outside speakers to play music out there. They have games, pool toys and floats. There is 5 great bikes which we used to bike around the area and there is a lot of bike paths. Mike and Patti are very accommodating and get back to you right away if there is any questions or problems. They want to make your stay the best possible. They gave us great recommendations for places to eat and the best beach to go to right now since so much was destroyed last year in the hurricane. We would definitely rent again whenever we come back and would recommend to all our family and friends. Thank you Patti and Mike , we loved staying at your home."
