"I’m a current resident and while I love the area, there are too many things that make living here difficult. 1- communication is THE WORSE. From the moment I signed the lease and paid my fees, they stopped taking my calls/responding to my questions. When they decide they don’t want to fix something, they just ignore you. Ex- I was told I was set up for autopay. The next month rolls around and I get a late fee. they don’t have anything to do with the payment system yet expected me to know to go through them and know how to deal with them when they don’t know themselves. Zero support and then they charge $100 late fees with no room for error which feels like a scam tbh since I was calling trying to make sure it got paid on time. They just wouldn’t respond! For a while, I didn’t even know what the codes to the front door/gates were bc they wouldn’t answer my texts/calls. I just had to leave the door cracked and hope to not be locked out of my own apartment. But I was locked out, multiple times!! 2- I often have to make do with however I can personally patch up a situation rather than the situation actually being fixed. Ex: I have no handle to my oven. Major hazard, reported multiple times and no solution 3 months in. There’s a major mosquito problem that I ended up getting a ton of product for and sprayed the entire property on my own dime. 3- There’s no central AC so the wall unit we have to use is the only thing you can hear unless you scream or blast music/tv. 4- the washing machines don’t actually wash your clothes because it pauses wash cycles whenever it feels like it. The general feeling is basically one of “SHUT UP AND GIVE ME YOUR MONEY” bc the only time they do actually communicate is when they don’t get it and still ignore your requests for help! I definitely won’t be renewing my lease and would not recommend this place to anyone."

"Never got the chance to live here, but this review is in regards to my experience working with the property manager, Melanie. My roommate and I were interested in living in the 2/2 unit at beach flat apartments, and after talking with one of the other property managers, were passed along to Melanie and put down a deposit to hold the unit for us. Nearly 2 weeks after paying this deposit, Melanie came back to us and informed us that the former residents decided to renew their lease (how they wouldn't have known this before listing the property is beyond me). We were offered 2 other units that would be available shortly after (3/2 and a 2/1). After the few short, non-helpful interactions we had with Melanie, and being denied a chance to look around inside any of the units, we decided to look elsewhere. I am writing this review because after numerous emails and attempted phone calls over the past 2 weeks, we have been continuously ignored and our deposit has not been returned. I am having to file a charge back claim with the credit card company."

"Melanie Katz took a security deposit from my roommate and I for a 2/2 after she confirmed it was available. Shortly after she received the deposit she told us the unit was no longer available and only had a 2/1 and 3/2 available that were both a) not what we asked for and b) out of price range. She not only is uncommunicative via email/phone but is not returning our money after falsely stating what was available. There was continual refusal to view the units in person and requested we must sign site-unseen. Never got a chance to live here and I'm glad we never saw it come to fruition as we have dealt with problems from the leasing agents from the very beginning. Cannot imagine dealing with this while being an actual tenant. Do not recommend."
