Serenity Lake Apartment Complex 14566 Seaford Circle, Tampa, FL 33613

"Do not move in here. The comments about gunshots rats and roaches are still true. The gates not fixed even though every person was required to buy a $20.00 fob. Try calling the emergency maintenance number and it will alway say the number is disconnected. Any issues you have will be half a** fixed. Mention mold from a ac or hot water leak and you will be told no mold exist and if you push further they no longer speak english. The plumbing system located towards the front of the complex is constantly backing up resulting in drainage issues and toilets not working. AC system are never serviced and dont work right resulting in 200 plus dollar electric bills. I was told that during the summer running the AC all day to keep my house at 80 degrees was normal and how the building is built. Your neighbors will blast music all night resulting in the entire buidong shaking. No results just excuses. The office staff hide in the office. The maintenance workers are held to no standard. I am currently in the process of filing a formal complaint against Serenity Lake and their parent company with Hillsbrough County in regards to the living conditions. I welcome any past or current residents to do the same. They feed off of minority low income families raising the rent yearly so that any raise or raise of government assistance goes to them. Most people can't afford to move because of this meaning they are stuck with these slum lords. Do yourself a favor and don't move in here."

"Apply to move in these apartments start off already wrong give me the run around about getting approved to stay in apartment asking me every day to send i different things then get mad when I ask why I am sending my whole life over about apartment try call corporate no answer smh how can you want tenants to move in with a start off like this"

"Don’t live here! They don’t care about their tenants. It’s very unsafe! Lots of police action going on. When you make a complaint, the management doesn’t care. The only thing I’ll say good about this place is that the rent is decent and one of the few places that take bigger dogs."

"I will say these apartments are decent. They work with you when you can't make payments on time but on the other hand, when you move out they will add charges to your balance when it's time for you to move out, get new things done to the apartment then charge it to your security deposit that has nothing to do with when you lived there. Safety is not okay, the gate is always broken so anyone can come into the complex. My car got broken into they didn't do anything about it. If you decide to stay here definitely keep track of your payments, what you are being charge for the month, get a car camera in case if someone tried to break in, and make sure your guest are in vistor parking even if their are none available. They will towed without warning or without contacting."

"At first I thought the place was great until I moved out. They are horrible people and I would never recommend anyone to live there. They will charge you to get the apartment ready for the next tenant. I was charged for carpet cleaning and painting when the carpet was already cleaned and the walls did not need to be painted. ( I never painted any walls and for at least half of my lease I was 4 hours away taking care of my sick father) they want you to return the apartment back “ in the exact condition as you moved in” by law security deposites can be withheld if there are things done outside of normal wear and tear. I guess they forgot that part. Sorry I couldn’t put the roaches back in the tub, in the cabinets and under the refrigerator to return the apartment in the exact condition as I received it. Very disappointed at management. Horrible customer service. Anyone looking for apartments, PLEASE done be fooled by the appearance, the apartment looks nice, the price is great and even the staff seem nice at first but that will change... you’ll see"
