"I initially gave this community a good review as I was just moving in and was pleased by the upkeep of the community, not knowing what would come after just a few weeks. I lived here for 4 years and throughout my time here I was always promised that the service they had for internet and cable would be "upgraded". I was paying them $100.00 per month for basic tv and not even all the channels and internet which they claimed was 15+ mbps. In the 4 years the fastest my download speeds ever made it to was 1.7 mbps. Due to the constant service outages and issues with their internet and tv provider/service, I went to the office and asked if we could change providers. I was advised that if I could get the community to agree and sign a petition they would process a change. I joined with another of the residents and we were able to get 92% of the community to sign and agree to the petition. When I handed the petition to the office manager with all the signatures all she did was put it on the side of her desk and never did anything with it. I followed up with her more than 8 times only to get the runarounds. After several years, I was offered a "work-from-home" position at work which required me to have a stable and reliable broadband connection due to the management never correcting the issue with the internet and cable service I decided not to renew my lease. I notified the manager as required that i would not be renewing and to my understanding I was perfectly fine. I moved to a new place and after a year I relocated to Texas. To my surprise, when I applied for an apartment in Texas I was denied due to a supposed broken lease and eviction that the management staff had submitted to my record. I completed my lease, provided the necessary notice with the required time in advance and have pictures of leaving my apartment in the same or better condition than I received it. This management office not only damaged my rental record but also my credit. I have been disputing this for the past year or so and still am having issues. I have been recommended to seek legal advise but in the meantime I wanted to let the future residents to this community to be wary of the steps you should take to insure that your record is not affected."
