"I have been waiting to post this review for quite some time, and hope to provide an honest opinion for those considering moving into the Millennium Westshore. I am a 32 year old single guy living in a 1 bedroom since about 2021 for context. Pros: - Great location. You can get to the airport or international mall within minutes. - Excellent maintenance crew. I see them show up early in the morning and they greet me with a smile every time I see them. amenities are nice for the most part. Nice pool and dog park. The apartment interior is overall satisfactory. Unfortunately the cons outweigh the pros which is why I regretfully have to give a lower review. Cons: - Never ending ongoing construction. When I first moved in there was a massive balcony project that entailed construction workers hammering, drilling, and walking on scaffolds right outside your bedroom window. I worked from home at the time and had to find another place to work as the noise was unbearable. The pool was shut down for a long time due to construction as well. Currently there is massive construction underway on the parking garage that leaves cars riddled with dust, soot, and grime. It’s very unfortunate to have to wash my car every other day due to factors I can’t control. The lanes are blocked by cones and it’s dangerous and an accident or car damage is inevitable. There has been construction projects since I moved in and do not expect that to change any time soon. It may get worse, and if someone asked me “what are they doing?” I’d honestly have no idea as I see no improvements or changes. Inadvertent fire alarms are triggered and have been triggered for years. It has gotten marginally better over time but if you work from home, just know you may get interrupted by a fire alarm at any given time. They have gone off at 3 am, during the evening, mornings, etc. The front office always apologizes but at some point when you keep apologizing for the same thing over and over if falls on deaf ears. theft from the package room. Unfortunately at millennium westshore they choose to use a package room that any resident (or non resident apparently) can access. When you order an item off Amazon for example, the package is left on a rack that anyone can come in and take and leave with. I unfortunately know many people who have had expensive items taken from the package room and never were able to have recovered. I don’t understand why management elects to use this type of method for packages when other options exist like lockers. But perhaps most of that money goes to the construction projects. Noise. I live on the third floor, and we have some neighbors who start partying around 3 am blasting loud music, slamming things on the ground, yelling, hollering, fighting. It’s been so bad that I’ve had to invest in ear plugs and sleep on my couch at night. I have to wake up early for work each day and try to be a courteous person, but not all in the community are the same. I’ve tried to complain and call the security officer, but it’s to no avail. Management will send emails reminding people of quiet hours. But if someone is never held accountable why would they care to listen to rules. Other items- the water is not very good here. The shower at times often spits out very little water pressure and it’s like showering under one small stream of water. Pet waste. I’ve seen neighbors pets have accidents on the ground in front of my doorstep and go on with their day without cleaning up. It’s ironic because in the lease we signed an agreement to abide by their pet waste policy but it’s not even something that’s monitored in my humble opinion. Overall I would recommend living at the Millennium westshore if you are younger and maybe single or in a relationship without kids. It’s a good place to start out and as I mentioned in the pros it’s in a solid location. But if you’re more mature and looking for more professional consistent management, for about the same price you can find alternatives in equally nice areas such as downtown Tampa or Hyde park."
"I’ve had a wonderful experience thus far. The maintenance team is A+!! So kind and so helpful. They always go above and beyond. The front office team is incredible. They are always so nice and do the sweetest things for residents."
"I love living here, I have 2 little dogs and they are accepted and nurtured by staff and surrounding residents. It is a respectful community and the staff is kind, helpful and maintenance gets a big shout out for promptly taking care of any needs. The staff came in early this morning and made my day with Chick fil a breakfast. Thank you all for making my stay very peaceful!!!!"
"Before moving to the Millennium Westshore, I lived with a roommate out in Riverview in a newer construction Townhome. I was sad to leave that residence, because I enjoyed living in a new constructed space. I wanted to be centrally located to the Downtown area, close to all the places I love, so I came across the Millennium Westshore back in April of 2023. I moved in in May of 2023. Miles was amazing! He helped us so much, we found the best price, the cost to move in was in budget, and he was very accommodating! Our move in process was seamless, and we fell in love with all of the amenities! It's very quiet in the apartment, so I cannot really hear loud noise or neighbors, and the apartment itself is pretty timeless with an industrious feel, and I feel upscale living at the Millennium. I love to showcase where I live, and have family and friends over, and I get loads of complements of our apartment. Being able to park in a covered parking garage, despite the recent repairs, I do always still find parking gracefully, and it's being refreshed so it looks really good all the improvements they made already thus far, and they've communicated every aspect of where you can and cannot park and what sections were going to be closed off ahead of time before they were, and everything important that residents needs to know is communicated to our e-mail, so residents should ensure they read their e-mails, and then they wouldn't have that problem of having gotten towed. I never had an issue, and I never had to ever park in a reserved spot, Also, there is cameras on this property and security that circles through, and police cars that visit periodically, so I feel very safe living here. I always found a spot no matter whatever level or spots were closed. So, it worked out fine, and it's better now as of January 2024, and on those days it's pouring rain, it's nice to not have to walk in the rain at all to get inside. There are always Food Trucks coming in every other week, and events going on at the Millennium, and cash prizes, and fun contests that they do periodically and catered events for the residents! Despite these 1 star reviews you keep seeing, it's not all that bad. It could be worse out there, We should focus on the positive, and what truly makes a community thrive are the people who live in it, and people should appreciate the perks that we do have, that most places do not even offer, and charge WAY more for. So, with that being said, it's a wonderful community, with great staff who are very supportive, and any maintenance request I've ever had has always been completed in a timely manner. I really do appreciate the Millennium staff for all their hard work! I would recommend living at the Millennium Westshore!"
"This apartment was very nice and well kept when we moved in in 2021. Since 2021, there has been a steady decline all around with a significant amount of difficulties during our time living here. I would not recommend this apartment to someone as of now. It appears the apartment is going to be under new management soon so hopefully they are able to improve in the future. Pros -The maintenance staff are all incredibly kind and helpful. -There are options for balanced room sizes for roommate situations. Cons -Cars get broken in here relatively often (stated by the cop who did my police report). My car was broken into during broad daylight. The following year my car was vandalized (pieces ripped off of it). The property has no cameras to assist with break-ins. Be cautious if you have a car of value. -Construction has been ongoing since we moved in 2021-2023 and it appears there is a never ending list of projects. This has caused a wide array of inconvenience (loud noises, fire alarms being set off so frequently you begin to disregard it, limited access to personal balconies, restricted pool access for months, garage repairs resulting in no guest parking available at all). -The general cleanliness of the property has been at a decline. Millenium charges you a substantial amount of money to DNA test your dogs poop (so you can be billed if you don’t pick poop up). However I have stepped in other people’s dog poop countless times while attempting to clean up after my own dog. Additionally it is a frequent issue that dog poop/urine is found in common hallways and even was observed once in the elevator. Staff are aware as they will send an email or post a paper notice telling residents to pick up after their pet. I’m interested as to why the expensive fees for DNA testing when this technology does not appear to be utilized to keep the property clean. -As a resident you are required to pay for trash services. Fees for trash violations are intermittently and selectively applied. However trash services are not always consistent and there have been many days that they don’t show up at all. -Lastly, this area is very nice and there are multiple other apartment options at a similar price points (or cheaper) nearby that offer higher security in parking garages and better amenities."
