"There is only one maintenance man for the entire complex. The emergency maintains messages have not been forwarded to this person. The messages are being sent to an ex-employee that hasn't worked for the company in months. You will probably not get a response if you have an emergency. It took 16 hours for the maintenance person to contact me only after he received a message that I left at the leasing office. WARNING. Do not recommend anyone to live in Century Dunes apartments off of MLK Blvd. I am a resident of two years and have had many issues which is why I’m moving out. This latest issue was my apartment smelling like an electrical fire and my smoke detectors went off. There was no fire so instead of calling 911, I called the emergency apartment maintenance on call. I opened all doors and windows to stop the fire alarm. After no response and about a half hour later, I called the fire department to come check out my apartment. The fire department arrived within 5-10 minutes. They heat tested the apartment and could not find anything. This is the most ridiculous sign of incompetence. The lack of concern for their residents and the building is absurd. You would think that if a tenant had to call the fire department that they would have acted immediately to make sure their building was safe since obviously the tenants inside the building aren’t their concern."

"We really enjoy living here! Amenities are great. Having a gym open 23h it’s a bonus! Neighbors are friendly and respectful making Century Dunes a great place to live specially if you juts moved to Deland."

"Welcome to building 5. This luxury apt. comes with the smell of pot in our bathroom from the upstairs tenant along with thumping and running into all hours of the night. The amenities are just for show except the pool. Apparently it’s ok to party with glass beer bottles, and unattended children till 4:00 am. We cannot wait for our house to be completed. This is painfully temporary. The appliances are horribly cheap and broke down. For the low price of $2,200 a month you can join us!"

"These are not luxury apartments. They may look pretty on the outside and in, but you WILL hear every step your upstairs neighbor makes if you have someone above you. The building was poorly constructed with no sound dampening between floors. We moved into our apartment at the end of December and had a family of 6 kids, 2 adults and a dog above us that ran, stomped, jumped off furniture, dropped things all day long. It took 6 months and close to 1,000 videos for them to be evicted. We had some reprieve for 2 months, now we have new people above us that STOMP through their apartment and play loud music until late at night. Stomping was heard until 2:30am last night. Although I think that was more than stomping if you get my drift. For paying 2,200 dollars a month, I expected better. Look elsewhere before renting here."

"Mady is very helpful and friendly. She knows us by first name when we are out and about. We love the dog park, walking area, deck and the pool! We can’t wait to sit by the pool once we are settled in. It’s like living at a resort without the expense. The grounds are esthetic and well kept. We love out new neighbors. 5 star treatment. If there is an issue it is fixed promptly. The gated community provides extra piece of mind in this crazy world. Shopping, dining and work is close by which is a bonus."
