"Not a nice place to live, the apartments are okey, but it’s not clean at all. People always leave garbage outside their doors and maintenance does nothing about it. I have called and sent pictures and nothing has been done about it. It’s disgusting and it smells. They also make you renew your lease extremely early to keep the same spot for another year assuring the prices will get higher. DO NOT renew, prices ended up going lower and they don’t honor that, even if you renewed your lease extremely early because THEY told you to. You will also have to pay around $100-$150 in utilities per person. So honestly, this place is not worth it. This place used to be okay, but since there’s a new management, and since it’s called Redpoint it’s just HORRIBLE. They just try to get as much money as they can from you. If you can live anywhere else please do."
"While the apartment itself can look nice, I’ll say my experience since moving here has been very disappointing. The main issue has been our internet connection. They currently use this company called “WhiteSky” and it has been quite possibly the worst internet service provider I’ve ever had to deal with. We moved here in August and had internet issues on day one. We have been going back and forth on this email chain having techs sent out multiple times, all while Redpoint management is copied on the email chains. We even had an experience where a tech came into our apartment BEFORE his scheduled time while we were away from the apartment. We also had a time where they said they would send out a tech, and they never came. Redpoint sent out a email blast 10 days ago asking anyone who has been affected with this issue, to stay patient, and use the guest wifi or hotspot until they find a solution. We can’t even connect to the guest wifi as well when our wifi is out. They also seem to send me more automated emails about renewing my lease than actually giving me proper solutions to this issue. We have been waiting over four months for a solution so hopefully leaving this review will speed up the process."
"Worst experience ever, do not choose to live here. If you want to pay around $100-150 for utilities per month, have bad roomate matching, and have damage charges of $400+ without them telling you what’s about choose to live here. I had a bad experience, my utilities bill was more than $100 per month, I had bad roomate that threaten do take my stuff away and management did nothing about it, and one day out of nowhere I had to pay like $600 in damages + rent on the day the rent was due,and they did not even explain what they were charging me about in damages. Place is nice but management is bad and they try to take as much money of you as you can. Don’t choose to live here"
"My son lived here at Red point, and had a wonderful time. The events were a highlight of his experience. The office staff was so helpful and patience, which was very helpful because I am a little slow when it comes to all the new technology everyone is using! Only complaint he mentioned might be the distance to the garbage compactor, but that lazy boy has legs!"
"Do not lease here. When my roommates and I moved in, the apartment was infested with over 30 German roaches, mostly babies. The apartment was not cleaned and left in poor condition. One of my biggest complaints is maintenance. They will mark your maintenance orders as complete even though it was never completed. Initially, our dryer was disgusting and contained mold, mildew, and dirt. The dryer was missing the lint collector slide out, so lint was being deposited against the dryer door. On top of this, the dryer was not even operable because of the missing dials. In September, we finally got a new washer and dryer. However, the washer does not spin & drain, meaning our clothes were left in a puddle of water. This leaves a weird smell in our clothes and results in us having to run the dryer 3-4 times in order for it to completely dry our clothes. We contacted maintenance multiple times and nothing has been done. They claim that they are still waiting on a response from the washers manufacture in regard to the warranty. My roommates and I have not had a functioning washer/dryer for the 2 months we have been here. Additionally, our lightbulbs went out and maintenance said they would send someone to fix it. Still waiting till this day. On another note, they still have not taken the washer’s box it came in and it has been sitting in front of our door for well over a month. Also, I washed my white sheets today and they have all been left with black streaks that will not come out. It is ridiculous and disappointing how much we pay to live here, just for appliances to not work. Due to the malfunctioning washer and running our clothes 3-4 times in the dryer, this increases our utility bill since there are 4 of us who do laundry. Please save yourself the stress and mental health and look elsewhere to live. I cannot wait until I move out. There are better options for an apartment closer to UF campus with better management."
