"Living at Social 28 is a very stressful and frustrating experience. The entire apartment building smells like mold and is very poorly maintained. Just walking through the hallways you can see holes in the walls that are never patched up, the floors and carpets inside the units have random paint splatters, and you can see wear and tear everywhere that never gets fixed. Maintenance/management are unpleasant to deal with, my dishwasher hasn't worked properly since I moved in, my maintenance requests are constantly brushed off or ignored by the maintenance workers and management, and there is nowhere else I can go to get these issues resolved. The maintenance workers will also cancel your maintenance requests without even coming in to your unit, and then lie about having come in to fix the issue. You're better off spending the same amount to live in the dorms, or go next door to the Courtyards for half the price."

"This place is okay. Very close to campus, study room is nice and so is the pool. Gym is not up to date and some equipment is broken. I think it’s worth is for the affordable rent (compared to other Gainesville apartments) and proximity to UF."

"This may be the worst place I have ever lived in. Permanently smells like mold. Management is horrible. May be the oldest building in Gainesville. Washing machine works every third try. Fire alarms go off randomly for hours. Elevators are slower than anything ever. Wifi is actually even slower somehow."

"You can do a lot better for the price they charge. Smells like mold throughout the hallways. There was paint on the floor of my unit. When I moved in the AC didn’t work, and 4 outlets in the kitchen didn’t work. My washer has broken twice. The gym equipment is mostly broken, and very small. The place just feels unfinished. Even the events they do are during the middle of the weekdays which most people are in class for. You definitely are paying for the location only. The location is great, but not worth the headache."

"My daughter lived in Social 28 for one year and at move out time was sent a bill for damages that where normal wear and tear. She moved into an already occupied apartment and they also charged her for repainting of that area. At move in time we were charged $300 for a re-decorating fee and then when we moved out they try to charge for normal wear and tear and faded painting. I have tried on several occasions to reach out to them (4 emails and several phone calls) to no avail. These charges were not only ridiculous but also very overstated. I would not move to this place unless you prefer to deal with a management group that does not manage or respond to its tenants and former tenants. Just an added note I have called and left a message 3 times since writing this review and still no response. The lack of professionalism and responses to call and emails is absolutely ridiculous!!!! Per your response below How do I get ahold of you no one answers phones or replies to emails. If you could respond to emails or send phone number to contact it would be appreciated"
