When I was moving into my apartment, and wasn't strong enough to carry my mattress that felt like at least 1000lbs, Ian singlehandedly (with my help) strong armed the mattress with little to no effort. He did this without a second thought, even though he was busy doing something else, and I am extremely grateful for his help moving in. Give this man a raise!!"

"Absolute Filth, Avoid like the Plague. While I entered into living at Hideaway with the expectation of cheap, university student targeted housing, I could not have expected the incredibly low level of quality I experienced when living at the apartment. My 3 major complaints were as follows: The units were filthy and teeming with bugs, roaches in particular. The day I moved into the unit it was infested and visibly gross, stains piled over the walls and counters in the common areas. The bedrooms were free of this, but also clearly not well cleaned between tenants. They consistently had billing issues with utilities. Constantly, they would misapply electric and water bills to tenants, forcing you to constantly fight with the utility company to prove how many people lived in the apartment. For example, I lived in a 4 bedroom apartment occupying one bedroom, but the utilities company billed me and one other occupant for 50% of the bill and the others 0%. Lastly, it feels like a halfway home. Renting by the bedroom, roommates came and went with high frequency. Within my year in the apartment all of my roommates had changed once or twice, many of them older men. I cannot understate how poor the conditions were. I have been told that some buildings on the property are newer and therefore less rotten, but I would not take the chance. I was not permitted to view my unit before move-in, only a test unit that they have built into their office. Additionally, the staff will do anything possible to avoid helping solve the problems caused by their units. Stay away"

"I've lived at Hideaway for over a year and everything's been amazing! Helpful staff, reliable maintenance, huge pool, and a really nice clubhouse! The amenities really make Hideaway a great place to live. It's in a great location close to Butler Plaza and UF, with two bus options. My only complaint is that the "car care center" they advertise as an amenity has a pump that doesn't work, and hasn't worked for a long time. But yeah, I highly recommend this apartment complex!"

"I’ve been a resident at hideaway for the last year and a half. Honestly, it has well exceeded my expectations and I have not had any major issues! The staff is fantastic, the pool area is nice, parking is easy, and it is very pet-friendly. Overall, would definitely recommend if you have a car and want to live away from the traffic of Archer Rd but still close to campus."

"I like residing at Hideaway because it is far from the downtown traffic and noise… There are lots of amenities and the pool is big.. I also like that it is close to I-75 for road-trips. Whenever I occasionally submit a service request, maintenance always gets back to me in timely manner. The units are nice and spacious as well and you could put decorating lights on your balcony to turn on at night."
