The Preserve at Henderson Beach Apartments

"Always has been a very beautiful place but in the past maintenance has not been very good. Took forever to do any calls and usually not good work. However, a friend of mine that now lives there had called maintenance to fix something for her and the man who did it was super polite, quick and efficient! She had also lived other places that didn’t take maintenance seriously but whoever has taken over is absolutely amazing, in her own words! She didn’t want to post a review herself, so I took it upon myself to post for her!"

"One of the best apartment communities in Destin! They literally have it all, from beautiful grounds to a pristine pool! And the office staff is top notch! Very respectful anytime I have been in the office. If I ever have an issue, I know I can depend on their management and maintenance staff to take care of it in a timely manner! Definitely recommend living here!!"

"We are very happy to live here, especially because of Heather who helped us through the entire process. She was very kind and patient with all of our questions. We have been living in a Studio apartment for 9 months and with God's help we have been able to transfer to a two-bedroom apartment. We are completely grateful to Heather for making the entire process easier for us. It is a very nice place to live and close to everything. Obviously, like everywhere, it has its details but the positive definitely outweighs the negative details."

"The place sucks! It may be somewhat presentable at first glance, but as soon as we moved in we immediately noticed how bad it is. The rent is outrageous. They charge 30$ for trash valet monthly - there are times when the trash isn't picked at all, and you might get a notification in advance (but no reimbursement). They charge for water based on a 3rd party bill we don't get to see (and it's always upwards of $40-60, even on months we were barely there to use the water). When the elevator went out they only addressed it after 2 weeks, then another month passed before eventually fixing it. There are constant beeping throughout the buildings - never got addressed at all. The mailroom is unaccessible half the time. I couldn't change the door lock code, so I put a request for assistance (with a phone # to call and desired times for callback) - I got a call from maintenance 3 MONTHS LATER, in the middle of my workday. Trash, bugs and dog excrements are abundant throughout the property. They have been "working" on the lock system for the main entrance for over 6 months. And with and all complaints the management just deflects and say they are either "working on it" or "there's nothing to do". The management is rude, dismissive and has no empathy or care for the residents, and occasionally would treat me like a leper. There are RATS in and around the buildings! When we complained, they gave us a month's credit and asked that we sign a waiver! Obviously, we refused. The property, it's management and their operation is embarrassing and laughable. I recommend any and all to avoid ever giving business to this sham of a place"

"Update: Toilet is fixed and my issue got taken serious after the wait. Appreciate the professionalism ! There is no other way to get help or get anything fixed at my apartment unless I post a bad review? I've called and visited office couple times during the last month that my toilet has been broken. Do I need to call a professional and bill the office? Since the toilet issue is not considered an emergency I was asked to be understanding and patient. It has been nearly a month now."
