"Las Hermanas/Starfish used to be a lovely, quaint beachfront dream. A couple of years ago it went under new management and not only did the prices more than double, the quality, maintenance/management, and cleanliness took a downward spiral at breakneck speed. It’s a shame that such a wonderful abode has been ruined by greed. What was once a charming, hassle-free well-maintained property has now become a neglected and abandoned dump. My family and I, and numerous friends due to our recommendation, were repeat customers, renting multiple units for consecutive summers. It was a place that had their “usual” tenants, so every year it was a rush to be able to book. Well that’s no longer an issue because due to its pricing and its current conditions, all the usual renters have found new places to rent, places that may cost the same or even more, but at least offer more bang for the buck. I was surprised to see availabilities at the last minute throughout the entire year. A new roof, landscaping, and painting is only placing a bandaid over what is fast becoming a festering sore. I hope the management and owner come to realize that their greed has backfired in their faces. You reap what you sow. #TeamJimAndCindy"

"When Las Hermanas was managed by Jim and Cindy it was 5 stars however ever since Wagner took over , doubled prices , and do not take care of property it has gone downhill. Many of the same guests have been staying here through the years and all agree. It’s a real shame. The property is unkept with trash, broken patio chairs (that my mom almost fell as she did not know it was broken). Had to move to another unit after unpacking because toilet was not working, chirping smoke detectors in 2 units, filthy floor, etc. Recently they planned a renovation of power washing, painting, and landscaping while my family rented (charged full price and were told renovation would begin after they left). Work began Monday and continued through the week. As a result , my family was not able to use outside area, path to beach, no views as all windows were covered and had to navigate around workers all week. Neither management company nor owner of property cared. They only offered a minimal compensation and only after my sister contacted them. Absolutely unacceptable to rent a property when major renovations are taking place. Shame on them"
