"Total scam! My policy went up $650 in one year with no notifications. Cancelling my policy and getting a refund has been a huge pain. Had representatives hang up on me because they couldn’t “verify my account” and wouldn’t transfer me to a supervisor until I was verified when they had the wrong info. I’ve been battling the refund for a week. Total hacks, STAY AWAY!"
"Cancelled policy over $30.00 late fee, I paid regular amount because app said regular amount and I paid that. I had cancelled a debit card due fraud and auto payment didn't go through so they charged me a NSF Fee. I paid onetime the regular amount But they cancelled me after I paid for over two years without a call or anything?? Over $30.00 ?? Called them today because my ID Card was ending in January and I needed to show coverage for longer than one month for a government base pass for 3 months. Representative said they couldn't get me new policy card until it generates. I offered to go ahead and pay for new policy. Then some representative named shanika said that I got to contact To Go Insurance because that is actually the insurance company lol WHO ?? I pay Bristol West for 2.5 years now and never heard of to go insurance. After a 1.5 hour phone call I give up I promise I will not be renewing because if this is how they treat you over simple issues think about if you actually did have a wreck. DO NOT USE >>>THEY ARE A SCAM ---YOU ARE BASICALLY BETTER OFF DRIVING WITH NO INSURANCE"
"This insurance company isn’t easy to get in contact with and they truly do not empathize with your issues and the customer service is terrible. I have been on the phone over an hour just to cancel. It’s as if they are trying to make you forget you wanna cancel but this only lets me know I am making the very best decision. If I could give a half star I would. So frustrating!"
"Lapsed coverages cause of payments I'd made are missing. I made my last payment on 11-22 to "reinstate" my policy but when I'd spoke with them on 10-31 and made my normal payment as well as making sure any outstanding balance was paid, and reassured my next payment date was 11-30. 11-22 comes and I am told I owed another $200. Pissed but I pay it to keep/reinstate coverage, as the representative told me. Fast forward to today and not only is that $200 missing in their system but my policy was never reinstated because of it! I've now paid 1385 total on a policy that was $1490 but somehow I'm told I still owe them another $1000 for the rest of my plan that runs until 2/30/2024. The amount of CPI my bank will add to my loan because this company promised coverage that I never got is going to be more than the insurance I've already paid for!! This is ridiculous and the company needs to really nail down their errors and omissions cause I'm told something different depending on who I talk too."
"Their systems do not work properly. When trying to pay your monthly fee online days before it does not allow you to pay then when you do pay it does not accept the full amount . My experience is l changed my card on file the system and they charged me a fee and canceled my policy the very next day. A new card was placed in the system so generally the other card is then charged. I guess the company is known for ripping many people off. This is the first payment and to imagine this is taking place is horrid. Then the lady at customer service was so horrible.l answered her questions. Asking the same questions over and over after she received the policy number to just transfer me over to the automated system to pay their fee to reinstate the policy that should have never been canceled to begin with. I would suggest many of you report your issues as well to the Better Buisness Bureu.....l also know all companies have a grace period and if one card is changed they charge the new card so something is definitely off here. The payment was made one day after the due date so it was not even late. Fix your automated payment systems and waive these false fees you are charging people. Money does not grow on trees."
