"Tile and Carpet World, Inc. in Port Charlotte was hired to install my luxury vinyl flooring in my Punta Gorda condo. My experience was mixed. On the positive side: The tile removal crew did an excellent job and left my condo in very good shape. The baseboards and coordinating end molds were done perfectly. Most of the vinyl was laid in an attractive pattern. On the negative side: One of my pocket doors was damaged, and it took over two weeks after the installation was finished to get it repaired. If you use a credit card, they add an upcharge of 3.5% (clearly noted at the desk.) They have a “Beautiful Guarantee” but it is limited. If you have a small problem with how the vinyl was laid you are out of luck. In my case, the vinyl was installed with two “knots” appearing side by side just past the entrance of my condo, forming a very noticeable mirror image that is not very attractive. For the amount of money paid I was hoping they would send someone to replace one of those two boards under the “Beautiful Guarantee”. Sorry, I was told it would be an additional $200 to make that repair OR I could replace the luxury vinyl in entire condo (under the guarantee), but it would have to be a different style and color. If the cost was higher, I would need to pay the additional amount and if a lesser value I would not get a refund. Did I want to move out for another week? Hire someone to move the bathroom vanities/toilets? No, I did not. Would I recommend Tile and Carpet World? I would not. For the significant cost of this kind of project, I would recommend that you look elsewhere."

"Tile and Carpet World came recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. From the moment I stepped foot into the business they were attentive. After a few days I decided on a tile but the tile was on back order. I decided I was going to wait for this tile. It arrived a few days before they said it would and they had already scheduled my installation date. The tile removal crew arrived on time and went straight to work; completing the task of removing my old tile. The following business day my installers were there on time and ready to work. These men were very meticulous in handling my furniture. As they removed my old carpeting they disposed of it, nothing laid around in my house, very neat.
