We received the finished pieces today and are absolutely happy and satisfied with Fernando and his wife’s work! It has completely changed the look of my room and I couldn’t be happier. The pieces were bought approximately 25 years ago and are solid wooden pieces, the finished look adds a timeless dimension to my room. From the beginning to the end of this project, Fernando was responsive, honest and on point with his timeline. "This company is beyond amazing! I purchased an antique desk and chair set because it had the look that I sought for a long time. I had an idea in my head of how I wanted it to be, but never thought it could actually become a reality because it seemed very complicated to bring it to life. ( green, gold with zebra..... weird) I went searching for a company to restore and redesign my desk set, and the second company I viewed was Martinez Furniture Restoration. I immediately knew this was the company I was looking for so i looked no further. I viewed their website and Instagram page and was more than impressed with their amazing portfolio. The designs, the colors, how they took the old and made it new, I was certain they were the one, and I was correct! I first sent the photos of my desk and chair set, and we spoke by phone. The husband and wife team both made themselves available to go over the photos with me and hear my ideas, and also made some suggestions I had not even thought of. When I met them, I was even happier with my decision to hire them, as they made me feel so comfortable. They were very polite and professional, and took the time to hear me explain and point out what I wanted done on the Furniture. They made suggestions as well, regarding material for my chair and desk top, colors, etc. We became a team!! My desk was very old, so there were some challenges, but to them, it was definitely doable. Fernando, while his wife and I were designing the desk, fumbled with the drawers, and made notes of things that needed to be fixed along the way, things I hadn't noticed because all I wanted was for it to be pretty. He basically found the chips, scars, and other things that would have affected the functionality of the desk and chair, and pointed out all the defects to me that needed to be addressed. His wife, the designer, suggested the shade of gold, how and where they should be applied, the liner material for the drawer etc. I knew I wanted green, so she showed me a shade of green color that was a custom color she created for another piece and it was perfect for the vision I had for my desk. I wanted my desk to be transformed to green, gold and zebra for the chair and table top. The chair and insert for the table top had to be reupholstered with zebra material. They loved the idea i had for the set, so we decided to move forward. A few weeks after we met, I got a sneak peak of my set and I called Fernando screaming with excitement! It was EXACTLY how I imagined it in my head! My crazy idea was brought to life by Martinez Furniture and Restoration!! Repaired, redesigned, and repainted. Chair and table top insert reupholseterd by their preferred partner. My set came carefully covered and wrapped by their preferred Mover, and was placed carefully where I wanted it. I don't think this team can ever truly know I appreciate them, their patience, their craftsmanship, professionalism, and how they paid attention to detail! They are absolutely amazing and I am very happy to have met and hired them for this project! I highly recommend this company and team to any, and everyone. I was also happy because even though it was not a huge item, my desk was accepted and treated with the care I was looking for. I myself, felt that my ideas and thought mattered, and I was treated with the utmost respect. I love this team and am very grateful to have met and worked with them."
