"Before my last trip to ny beauty supply I was super excited! I remember they had a young man specializing in wig installs and overall customer service. When I got there the other day I was extrememly let down. My mom took me there and as soon as we walked into a desolate store where the only person wouldnt even acknowledge our exsitance. I felt super out of place and wanted to leave right then. May i add me and my mom are white and the owner is african american. I walked around for a min then asked what the lowest price was for a wig. He replied nothing here is under 150. I left as soon as i heard that. I felt targeted as a white women. And wentto the store down the road and found the wig i wanted at 28$ plus had way better experience."

"Marvin was so helpful! I called to see if he had a certain type of hair for boho box braids and he assisted me over the phone. Then again, he was very helpful inside the store to match the hair to the picture I had as reference! He even told me how many packs I’d need! 10/10"

"This is my first ever review, i’ve never felt the need before but this place was so awful I had to leave one. I am so offended by the way that the man behind the counter treated me. He was so incredibly rude. The place itself stinks. It’s dark and nasty. Really bad. The tall man behind the counter was horribly rude. Accuses everyone of stealing. He followed me around the store questioning what I was doing as I was looking at $1 headbands and wouldn’t stop telling me he had cameras. I couldn’t even look at anything without him following me around. The rudest experience I’ve had in a while. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, I’d give it 0 stars if I could. Not to mention the stuff inside is ugly as hell. This place should be shut down and replaced by someone who knows what they’re doing, all the negativity will come back to bite these people."

"Well I've been coming to NY Connection for years even when the store was twice as big! I can always find what I need and Maurice is nice and professional with each visit and for those that like to complain, you have to consider that he's Single Handedly running the shop"
