"BUYERS BEWARE We recently purchased a mattress from the south Lakeland store. As delivery guys were removing our old mattress, they scraped our ceiling and took a large piece of plaster off. We were told to get estimates for repair. Turned in the lowest one, $2000 and so far they have offered us $500 to do the repair. The area they damaged is right at the entrance in the foyer which also includes formal living and dining rooms. The damaged area can be patched but the entire ceiling must be painted. Can’t match ceiling paint from 10 years ago. I own a property management company and in the last five years I’ve purchased 11 beds from Mattress Firm. This is how they treat their loyal customers. What’s even more disturbing is on their website it states, “We’re 100% committed to providing the best service possible. No matter what, we’ll always have your back.” What a joke!"
