"Folks, if you are looking for an honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanic in the area, you will not find anyone better than Darrin at the Village Garage. I have used him for the past 17 years for a variety of situations, as simple as oil changes and as complicated as carburetor to fuel injection conversions. Yes this is a 'project' car. Darrin's general nature will have him explaining in detail what needs to be done, so be prepared to chat for a bit. It is his aim to make sure you are an informed and satisfied customer. I can't tell you how many times I have had Darrin 'save' me money through not overselling services, parts or repairs that are not necessary. It is this particular case that has me writing this review today, as once again, Darrin has diagnosed my problem with minimal expense. Darrin would rather sleep at night knowing he gave you a square deal, than make a dishonest dollar. Thanks Darrin, keep up the great service and work!"

"This was the worst experience I have ever had with ANY business. Dropped my truck off to have the oil changed and EVAP code diagnosed. I was told that the owner, "Darren" was not in at the time and that he would contact me. I left my keys with the two new mechanics, who were very friendly, and prices were never discussed. I received a call 1 hour later and much to my surprise the oil change was completed without any discussion of price and the most expensive synthetic oil was put in my vehicle. No problem, I will pay at this point, the discussion changed to the diagnostic cost and after asking a detailed question about the diagnostic the conversation became hostile ending with him telling me to pickup the truck and hung up on me. Upon picking up my truck I was ready to pay for the oil change and asked to see the oil level (just about every oil change service shows the oil level prior to leaving). He told me to check it myself or leave because he doesn't have time to deal with me. When asked why he didn't call me to discuss the price before performing the work he blamed it on me stating, "they tried to stop you before leaving but you were in such a hurry." Regardless of the fact that this is not true he had my phone number and called me AFTER the service was complete. Update: about a week later I noticed there was oil leaking on my driveway, not really surprised at this point i checked the oil drain bolt. It was not completely tightened when they changed my oil. Avoid this shop like the plague"

"I have been going to the Village Garage for more than 15 years. The owner Darin and his team are the most knowledgeable and professional mechanics I have ever used. I think Darin’s personal creed is “I have never had a job I couldn’t handle”. Over the years I have taken in numerous makes and models of trucks and cars and they always find the problem and fix the problem at a fair price in a timely manner. Darin and Joe are thorough, totally honest, friendly and respect your vehicle while it’s in the shop. I wish I could find a boat mechanic that could do the same quality work They are the best in this area folks! Mark"

"I have been going to the Village Garage for a couple years on the behest of a friend. Daren and Joe are honest and dependable. I've always trusted them to provide clear feedback and great service and repairs. However, I'm writing this review because I bought a used car for my daughter so she could commute to college and after purchasing and driving the car for a couple weeks I noticed something not quite right about the car. I took the car to the Village Garage (where I should have taken it before the purchase) and Daren was careful and patient as he explained what was wrong with the vehicle. Knowing that I was between a rock and a hard place he took care of repairing the car. He not only explained what he was going to have to do, but he went over and beyond to make sure the repairs were as economical as possible. Moreover, he felt so compelled to do the right thing that he provided a warrenty. During the repairs he sent timely and complete updates to let me know how it was going and when all was done, he made sure he was handing back a vehicle that he would let his own daughter drive. Although I had taken my Jeep there for a while, I'm now a customer for life, and would recommend the Village Garage to anyone. These guys are the best."
