"Love this campground. $10 a night, beautiful location. The only downsides are the 20 mile pot hole ridden road to get in, and the fact that after driving that dang far, you STILL hear the interstate at camp. Regardless, i’ll keep going back. Also, be careful with the wet campsites, looks like plenty of campers have gotten stuck at each campsite!"
"We drove 20 miles one way down a dirt road.. a REAL dirt road, no homes, no people, no cars... got to the campground, quite by accident.. looked sketchy... turned around back down the 20 mile dirt road"
"Is a great campground! very spacious spots with fire pits and picnic tables. this is a primitive camp so there is no potable water or showers just a small toilet, make sure u bring your own water. the forest is great and there is off road trails and hiking trails close by."
"Just camped here in July for $10, drove out there in a Corolla. Drive slow, the road is full of holes and animals. It was insanely hot, wet, and buggy. More bugs than you've ever seen. We were the only people for miles. The highway is nearly inaudible. The campground is beautiful, i especially enjoyed the charred palm trees. Yep there are bears in this area, and panthers too."
"Very well spaced campsites. Picnic table, fire pit, and lantern post included. We got campsite #2 and the picnic table has shade in the morning. The drive here was long on a gravel road but the road was smooth for the most part. Only a few rutted and washboard sections. Make sure you have plenty of mosquito deterrents on hand. The evening swarm is horrendous. From dusk through the night they are hungry. Came out in the morning and it was good. Only a few here and there. Plenty of birds to watch."
