Reviews of Winn-Dixie
"Fresh, clean unlike older WD stores. Shelves filled, straight, clean. Good selection. One of few that carry roast turkey too buy by the pound. Better than lunchmeat turkey. Staff helpful, young deli worker great for his age."
"I rather get my review more in depth I worked here a few months ago and it was horrible. I worked in the deli and I do not recommend, the manager of the deli named Ann never takes responsibility for anything and lacks training for her employees she also talks about employees to other employees and has no respect for people's privacy so I tried to go to the store manager to talk to him about her and I always got told to come back in 2 weeks and talk to him if if nothing changed. I spoke with Ann about her talking to employees about other employees and of course she didn't like it and started to cut my hours. I went back to the store manager rod to talk to him about it I also told him about the drama that's been going on because there were people inciting violence on others and coming in and starting drama for no reason. and something needs to be done about it. I also wanted to transfer to the other location until everything at this store calmed down. But the store manager rod sat there while I was talking to him with his hand on his cheek like he didn't even care that I was there talking to him more like I was a bother. So in the end he ended up telling me I was making too big of a deal of it and that he was going to deny my transfer and also stated to a different employee that they don't transfer people just because they are uncomfortable. Well I had put in my two weeks and my last day was about the middle of December. So I went ahead and put in an application to the store on Orange blossom trail because before I came to this store they had me training at that location and I got along with everybody and loved the managers there and I was also getting properly trained at that location. So after my two weeks were up I started calling the Orange blossom trail location to see if I could go ahead and start working there but rod must have whispered in somebody's ear because they gave me an excuse that all their positions were full when I got a different story from another employee inside the store saying 2 people had to quit and they needed help.In the deli I have also taken out expired products I scanned them out and put them in the discard box and lo and behold I go back and everything I had put in the discard box had been put back in the case to sell to customers because Ann said that it was still good till the end of the day.YUCK!!! SO SHE TOOK WHAT I HAD SCANNED AND PUT IN THE TRASH BACK IN THE CASE TO SELL TO CUSTOMERS. THERE WAS ALSO A LOT OF UNSANITARY PRACTICES HERE THE SUBSTATION WAS ALWAYS NEGLECTED AND THE VEGETABLES ROTTEN NO ONE SEEMED TO CARE! I didn't want to transfer because I was uncomfortable I wanted to transfer because the store was ran badly and I wanted better stronger leaders but I was denied. All I wanted was to be trained properly and for the store to be ran smoothly but it's hard to do that when you have both the managers getting the employees against each other. And before someone gets sick be careful with what you eat in the deli."
"Always a great experience here. The manager Chaquita always very thorough, professional and pleasant to speak to with. Chris in Seafood department, very respectful and helpful. Very clean & organized store."
"this new Winn-Dixie is amazing! they are right there on par with Publix as far as customer service and cleanliness. I stop here often on my way to work or on my way home."
"Even with a smaller foot print than other Winn Dixie’s in the area, they seem to have a much better selection than the ones close by. I was worried this Winn Dixie would quickly become like the other ones but a few months in and it’s still clean, organized and enjoyable to shop at. I couldn’t figure out something out the self checkout and got quick, no hassle help and was warmly greeted while they did it. If I get to vote on what stores stay Winn Dixie’s and what get turned into ALDIs, this place has my vote. If that’s not happening anyway, then just keep up the good work."
