Publix Super Market at Newberry Square

"Do NOT "save time by ordering online." Decided to order publix subs for family movie night instead of ordering from a local restaurant like I wanted, because I thought it would be faster. Ordered at 7pm, supposed to be ready at 7:50pm. Showed up at exactly 7:50pm and my order hadn't even been started. One deli employee in the back cleaning, another stocking the cups..neither came out to help. Multiple people got their sandwiches made in front of me before I got my order at 8:18pm. If I had driven there at 7pm I probably would have had my subs by 7:20pm. I could have ordered from a restaurant, gotten better food faster, and not missed half the movie we were watching for family movie night."

"Very. High. Prices. LONG lines and no self checkout. Oh, and rude staff too. The cashier threw my bag of chips to the bagger. I said “easy” and the bagger starts yelling at me! Manager took her side!!! You want to spend those hard earned bucks here be my guest but I’ll never go back."

"Great selection, fresh produce, clean store, surprisingly large wine collection, too! No bulk nuts here. I tried to make conversation with the checkout gent, but he was quite shy. The young lady bagging my groceries didn't bother to reply when I complimented her nails, either. I know it's all college kids here, but, c'mon- Being social is part of being an adult."

"I go to this publix from time to time mostly because I like how it doesn't get crowded. The customer service that I have experienced here has been mostly iffy in the checkout. The people running the register can kinda seem cranky not really acknowledged you when you are about to check out which is super awkward... Today I had a really nice gentleman ring me up so I wanted to acknowledged him. My receipt said Alex. Him and his bagging partner were great! Being pleasant to someone goes a long way. None of us are thrilled to come to work but being nice to people when you can just makes the world a little better. So if the manager sees this. Please let Alex know that he is a great worker and very professional!"

"This is the 2nd time I've gone to this store and the hot deli and soups are put away and closed down way early. Don't understand why. The cashiers were all nice and helpful but noone knew why that area keeps closing really. The customer service area had 1 employee working, and there was a super long line there. Lots of empty shelves. Just not what I expect from Publix."
