"Never been to bait store -- and I have fished in about 30 states -- where they counted out the crappie minnows by hand, until I visited Riverland Bait in Dunnellon. The first time I went they were guppy sized, the last time he bragged that he gave me an extra dozen. They are crappie minnows my friend, not diamonds, give me enough to feel like my $10 is well spent. Now I go to either Angler's Resort just down the street next to the Blue Gator restaurant or 44 Tackle in Inverness where they use a scoop, rather than their fingers, to count out your bait. Problem solved."

"Pete is great, he knows his stuff, we've been buying our shinners here and there always great shinners. Pete has everything anyone would need to fish with; crappie, bass, catfish and many many more. Pete has always been honest with us and told us the lakes people are fishing in and never just told us something to try and try to impress us. So if you want to catch fresh water fish in Citrus county Florida, then go see Pete at Riverland bait, he will be never disappoint you. Just a special note I have caught a 13.7 pd bass and a 14.11 pd bass, all caught with Pete's bait. Here we are its 2021 and we caught a lot of great bass again, we only use Petes bait, its the best around for sure. We had another great 4 months of fishing and were thrilled with our all our catches! I caught a 12.5 this time and we caught dozens around 10pds, you just cant beat it. We are back again for some great fishing and of course we have gone back to see Pete, he as usual sent us in the rite direction, cant go wrong when you end up catching fish!!! 2022 great fishing again with great bait, thanks for the great shiners Pete!"

"The 1st we went there we called and said he opened at 7am, a little late for a bait shop but ok. Got at 7am not open, waited till 7:30. Then left.called later that day and the owner said his cows got loose ok it happens. Today Monday again arrived at 7am and you guessed it not open. Won't be going there any time soon, no one I fish with will either!! Wish I could give him zero stars"
