Best Western Plus Ft Lauderdale Hollywood Airport/Cruise Port Hotel 2601 North 29th Avenue, Hollywood, FL 33020

"I can’t tell you how much we appreciate the staff at this hotel. I was welcomed with a smile from the night staff nice young man I didn’t get his name. Bianca and Lidu were so professional, courteous and very attentive to my needs. When you walk into the hotel it has such a pleasant scent. The rooms were very clean, bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. I will definitely come back and stay."

"I am a loyal Best Westerner so it wouldn't surprise anyone that I wanted to stay here when I arrived to Florida from a red eye flight. Upon my early arrival I asked the young man at the front counter if I could check in early. When he said I couldn't I asked him if the room was available and he told me it was. So I explained that I actually wanted to pay the room rate for the night before as if I had checked in that previous night and he again said no. I asked him who could change his decision and who his supervisor was. When he told me he didn't have one I told him that wasn't true, I asked who his boss was or his regional manager. He flat out ignored me and wouldn't even make eye contact with me at this point. He didn't have a name tag on so I asked him his name since he wouldn't give me anyone else's. He told me he wasn't going to argue with me and he was calling security unless I left. I went outside and called the corporate number who to this point has done nothing about it. I had to check in later since my room was non refundable. I never saw him again but his counterparts were like death warmed over at best. They weren't exactly rude but they were far from nice. To top it all off I had to change rooms because the first room I checked into had a strong urine smell. My best advice is to not stay, it is no where near the standards of Best Western and to be honest I'm stunned it hangs that name on their building. I've been in business for 40 years and I know the way you stay in business is one customer at a time and the way you go out of business is one customer at a time. I've been staying at Beat Westerns for years and I've noticed that the quality of the rooms and staff is faltering. Best Western should be more selective as to who they let represent their brand. In closing I stayed in the Best Western in Honolulu at the airport earlier this year and that one was equally as depressing. I may have to start looking at staying in alternate hotels."

"This hotel is as clean as can be. The staff cleans the room very well, which is what stood out the most. I especially like that it is well maintained, the pool and areas like breakfast. It's quite nice, you can tell they have an excellent manager. The price is good at this place. The complimentary breakfast is actually very good. I love my stay, it is quiet and it is easy to sleep here. I remember Daniel who helped us find our reservation and quickly gave us our room. Thank you all."

Close to the port for cruises and the airport, delicious buffet breakfast, very attentive cleaning staff, I remember the manager Daniel's excellent attention. Rooms with a good smell and atmosphere, clean and comfortable beds. We will definitely return 10/10."
