"A most wonderful experience. Been back already twice and have enjoyed both times. Rooms are neat , clean and modern. Staff is very accommodating. Great pool, excellent restaurant and everything one would expect from a luxurious hotel except the price. Highly recommended"

"We were originally booked at a different hotel, but that hotel was dirty. We ended up finding Altair and glad we did. Our room was clean and it was nice to have a balcony. Anything you needed was brought up fairly quickly. We are not part of the Jewish community, but that did not matter. Staff were very friendly, especially the front desk, cleaning and pool staff. We enjoyed the Kosher breakfast. The hotel is in a quieter area, but close to everything. We would stay here again."

"My husband, John Muir, and I recently stayed at The Alteria Bay Harbor Hotel in Bay Harbor Island, FL over the Christmas holiday, and our experience left much to be desired. We had booked our reservation back in June, and one of the selling points was the promise of included breakfast, and a suite with a fully equipped kitchen. However, upon our arrival, we were surprised to find out that breakfast was not included in our $715 "suite" rate. This was a disappointment, as the hotel had not mentioned that breakfast was only included for reservations made after August. It would have been much appreciated if this detail had been communicated during the booking process, as it could have influenced our decision. Furthermore, when my husband did decide to have breakfast in the dining room, he found the quality of the food to be subpar. Dishearteningly, when he asked if he could take something to our room because I wasn't feeling well, he was met with a rather harsh response that "no food leaves the dining room." The overall customer service experience was lacking, and it left us with a great sense of disappointment and frustration. For a hotel that charged us $715 per night for what was essentially a glorified room with a small kitchenette, we expected a much higher level of service and value for our money. Regrettably, our experience at The Alteria Bay Harbor Hotel has left us with no intention of returning and no desire to recommend it to our family and friends. If there would be a choice for 0 stars, we would have picked that option. This stay was one of the most expensive disappointments we've ever encountered in our travels!"

"Michael at the front desk is the BEST! He was funny, engaging and went above and beyond to make my husband and I happy without thinking twice. They didn’t take themselves too seriously, but they clearly did with the guests. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Thank you, Altair!"

"Nice hotel with kosher options. Kosher breakfast was included. They have Shabbat elevators. There’s netilat cups in the room. They have kayaks, electric scooters and bikes. The location is 5-15 minutes walking distance to many kosher restaurants. The rest of the guests were very warm and welcoming so were the staff. I would highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back!"
