"We've camped there many times and never experienced anything like the current host there on 02/16/2024, they have nasty attitude and demeanor, one goes around knocking on camper doors for no good reason like overeager to show unnecessary boot camp type authority and they like to play dangerous game calling police on campers for no good reason, they called the police on a group of bikers for making noise which was not true as they were close to our site we did not see them making noise, and host told the police other campers complained which was also not true so situation got tense Fryday night until we started talking to each other and realized the host is the cause of the problem not to mention the waste of public resources making law enforcement go out there for no good reason. Also, this one guy acts like a traffic cop directing traffic that doesn't exist... Yes thanks for nothing Tom you're a real gem."
"Wouldn’t recommend coming here if you plan on staying awake past 10pm. They’re very strict about having lights out at that time. Person in charge was very rude and told my group to leave if we want to enjoy ourselves past their bed time. Stay away if you wish to enjoy yourself on your trip."
"I have stopped her several times on the way to the keys, Everglades, east coast. It’s a nice, well kept campground with electricity. The hosts are so helpful, one even turned me on to a meteor shower this morning. Caught a photo of one."
"Nice size campsite with picnic table and fire ring. You are right near 41 in the tent area though (I was spot 32), so you can hear traffic going constantly, and all night. Also seems to be in an airplane traffic route as you will see lots of planes coming and going. We like to cook on charcoal in the fire pit and this was more difficult than most places. The fire rings are deep! This made cooking everything take a lot more time, so either plan for it or bring another way to cook. Bathrooms were fine, flush toilets and sinks to wash hands. No utility sink here and no showers. Camp host was on site each time we came in which was nice."
"Nice little spot along alligator alley - close to Shark Valley and numerous visitor centers and airboat rides in the Big Cypress / Everglades area. Sites are level, tarred, and picnic table are on cement pads. Nice green lawn all around, but very few trees and shade. All sites are electric only, but there is a dump station and potable water on site. Cell service is sketchy to non-existent, but a few minutes up or down the road your are connected. A beautiful peaceful spot in the heart of the Cypress Preserve."
