"Up front, a great hotel in a great location. If you read any reviews since September 2022 complaining about things - these are likely the people that would sue McDonalds because the coffee is hot. The hotel recovered remarkably well since the hurricane and was one of the first on the beach to offer that beachfront experience. Cut them some slack as they rebuild and enjoy the beautiful coastal rooms overlooking the magnificent Gulf."

"We just completed a 5 day stay at Edison House, and overall very much enjoyed our stay, though wanted to note some issues that need to be addressed. On a positive, note the views of the beach and gulf are beautiful and the location - overlooking the beach - is outstanding. Rooms are clean and well laid out, and the staff very friendly and helpful. On the other hand, we were surprised to find a number of signs that routine maintenance is being deferred or delayed: tears in the carpeting, rusted light fixtures, burned out light bulbs, towels so worn that you can see through them, etc. If attention is paid to these issues, the rooms can once again stand out even more. Would still stay again, though."

"We live in Ft Myers and have loved Ft Myers Beach for more than 20+ years. Ian came along and tried his best to crush what we all love about our little island paradise. My husband and I were craving a week at the beach, so we booked a beachside room at The Edison. Although they are still recovering, the hotel is absolutely clean, I would really say IMMACULATE! The staff goes out of their way to please. We had such a nice week. We caught every sunset from our balcony. We have only good things to say! Rent with confidence!!"

"We were super excited to get a room at the last minute. The price was good for the locate. We liked how big the balcony was, and the views were perfect. The room had everything we needed. Including washing machine and dryer."

"Overall, 1 year after hurricane Ian, the Edison was one of few hotels that is up and running and welcoming guests. THE POOL IS DOWN, this is stated on the website, but seeing people complain, so this is a reminder. It will be down for a LONG time after seeing how destroyed the pool and patio were. The room was nice, cool, clean. All appliances working, including an ice machine in the freezer. Kitchen well stocked with everything you’d need, ours even had a crock pot!! The view was worth a 5 star rating. Best view in the area currently. And the proximity to Time Square and restaurants is convenient for waking, rather than driving. Only docking it 1 star because it is dated, and the pool is out of commission. Otherwise we were happy with the location and the view!"
