Avalon Hotel St. Petersburg / Downtown

"Went here for the Holiday cosplay convention. I was worried at first, because I thought wasn’t good, but the hotel was amazing and really comfortable. For a 2 star the staff does a great job. One down side was I had to switch rooms since no AC in one, but they gave me free breakfast card next door. I would definitely keep coming back. Staff was friendly. Excellent service!"

"Cute boutique hotel with fantastic staff. The rooms are somewhat small and could use some sprucing up, but they are clean. We were there for three nights celebrating a birthday and wedding anniversary. They made our celebration even more special and had champagne waiting for us in our room. The free wine happy hour is a nice added touch."

"This was such a fun spot to stay for a short visit! The hotel decor was pleasantly different: the colors of the walls were deep and evoked a feeling of mysterious fun! We stayed in a standard king room; while the room was small, it was clean, comfortable and very intimate - I liked it! There is a huge porch that offers couch seating and bistro tables as well. It's a nice place to sit and enjoy the COMPLIMENTARY wine and champagne happy hour! I thought this was a nice touch and added to the ambiance of the hotel. We were within walking distance of many restaurants and the beach!! Hotel staff were accommodating and friendly and answered all of our questions graciously. We have stayed in many resorts in Orlando, and this boutique hotel provided us with a refreshing experience because it was so unique!! I am looking forward to future stays!"

"Love this hotel. First, the person at the front desk was lovely. Very helpful and kind. The decor is very cool. Creative but clean and welcoming. The hotel is older but updated and charming. The bed was comfy. The room is a bit small but typical for an older downtown hotel. Lots to do in the area, so much in walking distance or a short Lyft ride away. Easy to find. Parking! A blessing and a curse as there aren't many hotels in downtown that included have parking at all. The only, very small, downside to the Avalon is parking. The lot accommodates two hotels, it's a dirt lot and kind of a pain to drag your luggage through if you're parked in the back. I would absolutely stay here again. The Hollander, sister hotel, has great food, great drinks and a cute pool that you can use."

"Great little boutique hotel in the St. Pete downtown district. All the amenities are at its sister property next store the Hollander hotel. Great restaurant, very nice pool and outside bar. The staff is amazing. Hotel is older but the rooms are up to date and the bed was soooo comfy. Also the best hotel shower we've experienced in a long time.We will definitely be back."
