"Yes it’s under renovation and something’s they have done right and something’s not so much. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The windows in the room could use updating they were very dirty and not sealed very well. The ac worked great the bed was comfortable. Personally I liked the hotel lobby prior to renovations. The old chandeliers were better then the modern lighting, they painted over the ceilings that were hand painted and had character now it’s very sterile and white and looking closely not painted very good. Parking is the only major complaint I have. $40 for parking I refused. Sorry but parking for hotel guests should be free. Picture 1 is new lobby picture 2 is prior to renovations. Notice the ceiling. Picture 3 new 4 is old"

"Rooms spacious for a small hotel room was clean, tub needs more TLC had dried paint in it. No one answered the front desk phone each time I called. The elevator at check out time took 10 min only one elevator was running (please check that out) also 1st day water ran warm then was hot the next day."

"My sister and I recently stayed at the hotel. The staff was great. Jeff, who helped shuttle us to dinner at a nearby restaurant, was very kind. The ladies at the front desk upon arrival and checkout, Angelina being one of them, were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and we loved the decor. We understood that they were still renovating, so minor issues we were able to overlook. Just kinks that need to be worked out. If you want to experience a glimpse of the past, this hotel's decor and commitment to keeping it as authentic as possible, will not disappoint you."

"I stayed at this hotel on January 16, 2024 due to inclement weather and flight cancellation out of Tampa. I must say that the hotel is beautiful. Very clean, and the staff was accommodating. The rooms were spacious and the decor was lovely as well. I would suggest the entrance to the hotel does not have a signage indicating the name of the hotel for transportation providers to drop off guest. Otherwise, this is a very beautiful property with a very accommodating and courteous staff. I am honored to be one of the first to enjoy the hospitality of a Hilton Hotel property. "No sign on the front of building. Pop-up tent outside was only sign ONLY valet parking - $40 charge! Initially charged $50 destination charge (for a shuttle we werent using AND the shuttle only included 3 mile radius). They only removed this charge after we questioned it. Took 3 people to find out how to adjust volume on TV remote control. If you leave you car for a cruise, it is a $50 per day charge. Construction going on with noise. View from the window was scaffolding. Person at front desk had an extreme language barrier. To enter hotel we passed other people that had circled the building more than once. All doors had signs "Do Not Enter" and "Danger". Some of the doors were for a bar or restaurant - meaning it was extremely difficult to find the entrance to the hotel. Upon entry there was no front desk - only 3 elevators with no instructions to denote lobby/front desk. Additionally only ONE of the elevators worked. Exposed sprinkler heads were loose with chipped unpainted concrete. The light switch for the bathroom section that includes the toilet and bath/shower is in an external room. That means if you want to use the toilet without turning on the light and waking your spouse,you can't. It also means someone else can turn out your lights When bathing/showering/using the bathroom without your control or choice. When we cruised from New Orleans we stayed at a Holiday Inn and Suites that was $79 per night and included a full breakfast. Hotel Flora charged me $302 dollars PLUS the additional $40 valet charge (and valet is mandatory as confirmed by the staff). Apparently there is no included parking for the hotel. There was also no breakfast included. Our $79 hotel was exponentially better than this $306 hotel - including condition of the room, accessibility, amenities, parking and customer service. We would NEVER consider staying at this hotel again. Basically for the price of this hotel, we could have purchased a 5 day cruise that includes everything! EXTREMELY disappointing!! If I could give a negative number review, I would."
