"High hopes but the room I received is awful. Stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. It may not apply to all the rooms, but I see some reviews with the same complaints as me. The first thing I noticed when I entered my room is that it was dirty. Dusty floors with hair, dirty sinks and counters. Stained bed sheets and chairs. Almost everything was dirty. The bedsheets made my skin breakout in rashes and the bed itself is just really uncomfortable. Plus the “blanket” for the bed is a throw blanket in between two sheets…come on. The only reason I wouldn’t give it a 1/5 is because it’s a hotel and serves its purpose. The experience is just uncomfortable and disappointing."
"We chose to book a room at the Westgate Palace using their “timeshare tour” discount. This gave us a 3-night stay in a 2-bedroom villa for the very reasonable price of $169 total (or only $69 if you count the $100 gift card given with the timeshare presentation). I will say the rooms themselves are quite large compared to your typical hotel room, and it is a very good deal with the tour discount, but I was left disappointed by some aspects. The rooms are set up kind of awkwardly, where even though they are large, the bedroom and bathroom in the “parents bedroom” is exceptionally cramped, while the kids bedroom and bathroom is very spacious in comparison. The furniture in the room felt dated and nearing its end-of-life. The leather couch was very scratched, the wooden bedroom sets were pretty beat up, and kitchen dishes, utensils and appliance provided felt like the absolute cheapest dollar-store quality they could find. The hot water in the rooms never got actually hot. If you turned the shower as hot as it would go, it would only ever get to just mildly warm. Probably the most eventful part of our stay at Westgate, a raccoon was found living up in the rain canopy above the restaurant bar in the pool area. We were out in the pool when we saw the security+maintenance team come to fix the issue. They decided to stack a few chairs up to ‘block’ the area, and set up a small trap on the ground. No closure to the pool or adjacent areas, even though they were only maybe 20 feet from the raccoon. 48 hours after they set the trap, they raccoon was still there, and the trap still set with the area quarantined with nothing but a few chairs. None of the staff seemed to feel the need to take any action beyond that. Parking at the hotel is also very difficult. The lot is much too small for the amount of rooms, so you have to park your car at a random lot behind a restaurant instead, and take their free ‘shuttle bus’ which was a beat up 2004 dodge grand caravan. The timeshare presentation that we were obligated to attend was fine. It was what I expected. Two hours of a salesman trying everything in their power to convince you to give them their money. After the stay I had in their hotel though it was pretty easy to say “no” to their sales pitch of endless wonderful vacations at the “spectacular” Westgate resorts. Ha. For the price of the stay with the discount, it was overall fine, but I certainly would not go out of my way to stay here again."
"Stayed here for a weekend vacation with my daughter. We both had a blast. The location was centrally situated near International Drive (I-drive). The room was immaculate. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom upgraded suites. It was nicely furnished, both bedrooms were large and had its own bathroom attached. The beds were comfortable. The unit was equipped with washer and dryer, dishwasher and full kitchen appliances. The pool was heated. The hot tub was larger and appeared to be able to host 8-10 people comfortably. I definitely would recommend this place for an extended stay. The front desk service was A1. The building was secure with key card access only. We stayed on the 18th floor in building B. The room was nice with a city view. The resort has a restaurant although we didn’t try it. I don’t remember seeing a bar. The only drawback from this resort is the parking is tricky in the evening. They did provide a late night shuttle to the over flow parking which is a block or two away. The shuttle did run every few minutes so there was not much of a wait."
"We are kinda condo snobs, but they had recently got bought out and I am not sure if that is why everything was broke or ?? We were missing frying pans, the Iron didn't work. The fire pit was broke. I called 3 times to try to get a pan and iron. No go. Not a bad resort. Just not the best one we have been too. It was clean though. Pool area is nice ."
"I had stayed at this location 2018 . It was a disaster back then. Now I’m back , the place is all renovated, shining and beautiful throughout. I’m amazed with the work that took place …. Top of the line …. It was 60 degrees outside and the pool was all heated at 80 degrees. My kids had a blast , We stay 2 nights and couldn’t recommend more… the best place … Thank You."
