Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando International Drive Convention Center

"There was no hot water 2 days in a row. I could not shower and When I called the front desk the lady seemed surprised and told me to run the water which I had already been doing for over 10 minutes. Finally later that day hot water returned. The next morning, I tried to shower and again no hot water. I don’t know if maybe they shut hot water off at night but if they do they should realize that there people that wake up at 5am that may want a shower before starting their day. It was bad enough that a stranger randomly walked up to me asking if I had hot water because they had been there several days with no hot water either. This place is in need of major maintenance. There is no airflow in the room. The only plus to this place is the walking distance to food and nearby parks and the evening reception. I suggest going to the slightly more expensive Hilton option down the road as this was the worst embassy suites experience we’ve had. Edit to add: The electrical outlets in the room would not hold to be able to charge devices. The elevator would not stop on floor 3 consistently and the rest of the time you had to go up to 4 and back down the stairs to get to 3."

"We had a great experience here! They serve free breakfast in the morning which was actually good- had omelets, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt and more. When we ordered our omelets there was more things in them than we ordered like ham and peppers but it was good anyway. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The front desk staff was also very nice. Parking there with the ability to leave and come was a little pricey, we paid $40."

"I will preface this by saying I've stayed at other Embassy Suites locations and really enjoyed it. However, this location was unfortunately pretty subpar from the start. Luis who checked us in for our stay was incredibly rude and impatient. Upon entering the room none of the outlets in the room worked, some of the outlets the plugs would fall right out of the wall. One saving grace was when asked, the front desk did send a repair person who was able to fix 1 of the plugs so we could at least charge our phones in the room. The room was not clean, there were ants in the bathroom and the bathtub looked like someone took a chisel to the bottom of it. There was hair in the shower when we arrived. Breakfast was free which was nice but it was not good and we skipped it for this reason most mornings. The one elevator refused to stop on floor 3 (where we were staying) so we had to go to floor 4 then walk down the stairs to go to our room. There were so many things that went wrong it actually started to become comical. There were a few good points, after our rude check in the rest of the staff were friendly. Although we did not utilize them, they give you a lot of free drink vouchers to use during their happy hour. It is within walking distance of a lot of really great places including the convention center. Overall I would not stay at this location again but would consider other locations."

"Overall, this was a good experience, though the rooms are a bit worn. The main issue was with housekeeping, which didn't stock towels or replenish toilet paper. I feel strongly that Embassy Suites locations should continue to serve unlimited (within reason) wells drinks instead of the 2 wells drinks/night this location has decided to do. Thankfully, the nice woman who checked me in gave me plenty of extra drink coupons, such that this was not an issue. Otherwise, I would have deducted 2/5 stars. During breakfast, which was otherwise good, there seemed to be people affiliated with the hotel going to tables to sell vacation schemes to guests. If I had been one such guest, I would have deducted another star. I did not appreciate my credit card being charged months in advance for a deposit when cancellation was permitted until right before the stay. I had to call the hotel to get the deposit removed, which was inconvenient. The covered entry to the hotel is not well suited for ride pick-up or drop-off since it leads to the gated parking lot. Drivers have to abruptly turn around. I would stay here again but can also see how things could easily be worse."

"Loved this hotel for my family and I. It was clean and comfortable and the layout was not so bad. It felt very homey and the breakfast is DELICIOUS! The indoor pool was very convenient as it was very cold at these times. One thing that was an issue personally, the water went up to about room temperature and the water drained very slowly and the lighting kind of sucked in the living area of the suite. The location is great! Dave and Busters and Olive Garden is right next door and Icon Park is a short walk away. The parking situation is great as well. Overall I would 100% book a room here again."
