Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ocala

"*thieves* dont stay here unless you want to be stolen from! My family and i were visiting for Christmas and while we were out having dinner the housekeeper stole a bag with $250+ of brand new skincare items & makeup that were Christmas gifts. The front desk girl assured me that their housekeepers are very reliable and have no history or accusations of stealing, funny because i was able to find at least 2 reviews right here stating they’ve stolen money from purses. She told me that the housekeeper probably “threw” out the bag by mistake because it was placed near the trash. I had 3 other identical bags to the one stolen in the same spot and they were not touched. Also this place was filthy. Room 201 bathroom was riddled with roaches and the “clean” towels had hair from previous travelers, and were also thrown on the dirty bathroom floor. Stains in tub. Luckily we always bring our own towels and washcloths, and only stayed 2 nights. We booked for 4 nights originally but my brother had a medical emergency and the front desk girl assured us it would be taken care of and to expect a refund but was charged for all 4 nights. Oh also! The doors do not lock and are accessible without a room key, people hang around the hallways and stairwells all night and have obnoxiously loud s*x for hours on end so theres that! Book at your own risk we should have checked the reviews first."

"This was my first time stay in a Microtel Inn and it was very nice. The check in was painless and staff was super. The rooms are a tad small but big enough for us. Nice tv, refrigerator and beds were fine. The breakfast was nice with lots of options. The only thing I didn,t like was the shower nozzle shot out very fine spray and hot water was hard to come by."

"This was one of the worst experiences I had staying at a hotel. Please try to find another place to stay. I received an voicemail telling me about a room upgrade prior to check in. I declined it was only 1 bed, we wanted two. Upon checking in which was around 2:10pm I was told that there would be a $15.00 for early check in. I never experienced this in my years of traveling or making arrangements for staff. ALSO on there different occasions we did not have hot water to take a shower. One night they ask if we wanted to change rooms. The best part was that at 10:20am our access key to our room would not work. I ask them earlier in the morning what time was checkout and she said noon. They do allow dogs to stay here but no bags are available for picking up after the dog. The ground had a bad odor. Just do yourself a favor and do not stay here. I did not say a word about this awful experience."

"So the staff is very friendly, the food is okay. Good pricing I wouldn't say great. The rooms are clean so that's great. But in all I wish they would keep more upkeep with their pool, The pool was dirty for quite some time. And if you're going to stay at this hotel I guess you could base it off convenience since it's next to quite a bit as for looks go palm trees need to be fixed you can tell that it looks like they don't care because they haven't had an outside washing some parts of their hotel may look run down honestly it's best if you don't focus on the look of it."

"This is a pretty nice place. My son stays when he comes to visit here. Usually, they treat him extremely well. It's nice that they have a small breakfast in the morning. It helps out when you're in a hurry to get to where you're going. The staff is pretty nice. The place is fairly clean, pretty safe to stay here."
