AC Hotel Gainesville Downtown,

"I really wanted to like this hotel. I really did. Kinda chic and modern. Unfortunately, the sparse bar and even sparcer breakfast table was disappointing. I’d go back to the Courtyard before staying at another AC. Room was good and comfortable but very basic. No real restaurants in the hotel and they don’t serve after 10 a.m. Not a very good experience for a Marriott property. The microwave in the buffet area was filthy - looked like something exploded in it weeks ago. Was going to warm up my coffee until I opened the microwave door. On the positive side the staff is very nice and professional. Sorry AC! I really wanted to give 5 stars."

"Filthy hotel and the valet is terrible. Took almost 30 minutes to move my car. They adjust the seats mirrors AC and even the radio. The rooms are not clean at all. Downright disgusting. Stay somewhere else."

"My room did not have heat. At first, i thought we needed to give it time to warm up but never did. We checked in late evening so we just wanted to sleep. Little did we know was 62 degrees in our room. The hallway was warmer. Next day we called to tell them, the engineer came quick. It took 30 min to warm up the room. Room 426 or 423 cant remember."

"The room was nice and clean. Very comfortable bed. Good bathroom facilities. The staff was all helpful and attentive. Especially Shelby, the bartender. Could not have been more professional. Kind, funny and very patient with a variety of different customers. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and that was the one of my best hotel bar experiences, from a staff standpoint, that I can recall. Class."

"This is a great hotel. Service was good, rooms were clean and recently renovated. The location was great too, close to campus and downtown. The only drawback was your parking options are valet or street (there’s a decently amount of street parking nearby. Would still stay here again though."
