"I hired Basil to let out the hem of 4 Pottery Barn curtain panels that measured between 82-83 inches to make them longer. He was rude to me during the consultation, expensive for a simple alteration and dry clean (360), late with the work, and screamed at my boyfriend for looking at them when he came to pick them up. After all of this, 2 panels were returned to me shorter ( 79.5) than they were when I gave them to him. There were also strange dots on one. I have to toss those. Basil wasted my money and time."

"Absolutely top notch tailor. They offer full service alterations at reasonable prices. They will also design and fabricate custom suits for men. The staff is friendly and very informative. Basil will always give an honest answer even if it means he won't make money. For example, I had a Ralph Lauren winter full-length coat that I bought a couple of years ago. I since gained weight. I brought the coat into Basil and asked him if he could alter it so I would be able to wear it. He said that there wasn't much room in the seams to do a proper alteration and said that I would be wasting my money trying to alter this coat when I could probably purchase a new one for less money. I admired that answer! He could have swindled me out of money and handed me a bad-looking coat, but he didn't. All alterations that I have brought to him have been done very quickly, and returned to me pressed and hung. I highly recommend Basil's Tailor Shop for all of your alteration needs."
